Well it's approaching!

KANGAROOS v MELBOURNE
SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 8TH, MCG, 2:30pm

I'm pretty happy we end up with the Kangas.

* Who do we put on Sav Rocca if he plays? Morrell? Sav hurt us last time
* Will the Kangas go tall in the forward line?
* Leigh Harding could've won the game for the Kangas last time...he kicked 1.6 didn't he?
* What can Byron Pickett do to us...he only got a week suspension didn't he? Pity it wasn't two!
* Who has the better midfield - how does Yze, Woewodin, Johnstone, Powell, Leoncelli stack up against Simpson, Grant and co?

Well, I think we can get past the Kangaroos this week. I truly think that out win against the Saints did us a world of good....

* Rocca is no certainty to play, and even if he does, I think he will be hampered by his knee injury. Lamb will get him if he plays. We have Wheately, Biz, Bruce etc to throw around down there, we should be right.

* They may go tall, but I think that may suit us, as we ran the ball superbly out of defence Saturday night. Biz, Brown, Bruce and Johnno were the architects, and if the ball comes to ground enough, then we can attack, attack, attack!

* Yeah he did, well, something like that. He has lightning pace, so I think a Ward or Whelan (if they play) will get him. Danger man though!

* Pickett is back this week, and could do anything. A Brown/Whelan type player will get him also. He CAN be contained, but can produce anything! And your right, pity it wasn't two weeks!

* The midfield will be where it's won. With Burton in the ruck, White won't dominate the hit outs, so we need to win the crucial centre breaks. As we saw, if we get it down there quick enough, we kick goals. King is back to go into that midfield with Simpson and Grant, but no Stevens helps us alot. Yze, Woewodin, Johnstone and Powell are the keys. They really need to work hard to make sure we get more of it.

All in all, it shapes to be a great game. Our forward line needs to function well, and it's good that we have assesed the problem of just going to Neitz all the time. Green kicked 5, Armstrong 3, Bruce, Vardy and Robbo each had 2 as well as Neitz, so they will be wondering who we will go too.

I hope Rocca doesn't play. I would be very worried if he does. I think we can match them in the midfield, and up forward, if we perform up to the expected standard, we should be OK.

I have a feeling this game is going to be very close.

I can't make it, I have the once a year family get together down in Ballarat. We have a huge family, so I have to go along!

huh? so u saying there will be NO football on the 15th september? cos thats mighty sweet if it isnt. cos otherwise i wont be able to go. some stupid cousin decided to get married. i reckon they should ban all weddings in footy season. esp finals time.

how could there be?? it'll be the semi's where only 2 matches are played - a friday night match on FRIDAY THE 13th )) and a saturday one on the 14th... nothing on sunday the 15th!
