Threw it away.
Hang your head boys, you have let your supporters down.
This could very well come back to haunt us next at the end of the season if or when a top 4 spot is up for grab.
Today was not the game of a top 8 side.

Medhurst I repeat you are a disgrace and have no place in our side.

If Medhurst had seen him, he would have passed it.

What about McManus's last quarter? Absolutely shocking.
I agree McManus is no longer in our best 22 will be lucky to get another game on that performance.

I have no dout Medhurst saw him.
That isnt the point, he plays for free kicks, abuses team mates, is a pompus fool.

We have known for McManus's entire career he isnt the most skillful of players, but he puts his all in, respects his team mates and doesnt fake for free kicks.

McManus, favourite son or not has to go next week!!
You have to send a message to the rest of the team that being crap will not be tolerated!!

We played a full strength St kilda (minus one player out of there best 22), we were missing 3.
Medhurst made the right decision, he wouldn't have know how much time was left, so the best option would have been to go to goal, especially with pavlich in the goal square.
It was a great showing away from home, on a ground we struggle, in conditions we struggle in.

If Medhurst hadnt played we would have lost by 20 points

Cant see the logic in that.
If he didnt play we wouldnt have been able to find people to fill the gap?
I think you would find that we would get allot more out of farmer with medhurst out of the side.

Macca should be shafted, I'm sorry if that makes me sound disloyal or something, but he played a crap game, bring Cook in next week.

As far as Medhurst goes, what exactly was he meant to do with six seconds on the clock and a point down?

Kick to the man that was all alone and not try and be a hero?
Its not just the final minutes its his game in general and almost every game he players.
An arogant little prick that does more bad for the team than good.

Medhurst is in our best 22, doesn't neccesarly mean he is a good player though.
The two youngster in Dunn and Dodd struggled as well, really who are we going to replace medhurst with.

Schammer when he is fit.
Hell give Mundy a go.

hard luck lads, umpires didnt help ya cause but to lose like that makes the loss even worse.

Have to agree McManus was very very ordinary.

Just a shame Schammer didn't make it up for this game i think he would have been the difference had he played.

we are always going to have 3 or 4 players injured, it is the case at every club.
I can't see schammer or mundy kicking a bag of goals for us

Its not so much finding someone who can kick goals like Medhurst I believe we have many players that can step up and kick the couple of a goals a game Medhurst kicks.
Farmer as I have said for one, Headlanad is another.

The only thing more disgraceful than Macca's performance is sabre's comments.

Medhurst did alright today, kicked a few. In that sort of pressure situation with seconds left you can be forgiven for turning and trying to score anything, we're talking about half a second he may or may not have seen headland in, by that time he was half way through kicking it.

We certaintly need to improve in the middle of the ground, St kilda had twice as many clearances than us

I thought Medhurst was OK today. Even his last kick wasn't bad to the top of the square. True, he should have seen Des, but I don't think you can judge him based solely on that, he's not generally an overly selfish player when he has the ball.

Yes, but he's not a match winner, he's a match loser.

How so I have been calling for his head for more than a season now.
I am not basing this on just one game, this merely adds to the case that Medhurst has no place in our side.

Agree with all that. If Pavlich had of marked it then Medhurst would be a hero.

I know, I admire your consistency but to me its unwarranted. It's just medhurst bashing for the sake of it. He is EASILY in our top 22. Noone would come close to displacing him as our forward pocket.

Medhurst did the right thing, Going back and looking at video footage in slow motion sometimes doesn't give the real feeling of what happened. If he didn't see Headland it was unlucky.

McManus is a disgrace, I have stood by him since 1995 but today was the final straw.

Damn straight. Sabre, you are looking for an excuse to jump on your hobby horse here. I can name a bunch of other players who need to be looked at before Medhurst (Woods, Macca and Farmer with absolutely no doubt at all).

Good game by headland though, finally found his form. Will be unstoppable at Subi next week.

I didn't see much a Headland today as well, so i am not suprised medhurst missed him, probably thought he wasn't playing.
