Rain finally came to Sydney, so I grabbed an umbrella from my rag tag stock and headed out.

A few streets away, a bloke in red merc starts tooting and gives me the thumbs up.

Perplexed, I walked on until I realised I was holding a black and yellow umbrella........

Solution: Turn towards the Western Oval, three Hail Peters.

(Yeah, I know, mixed metaphors, semaphores, whatever, but the best I could do after a glass of shiraz).

My next best choice was a red & white one with a hole in the top and broken struts - perhaps a metaphor for the coming season for the Swans.

Meanwhile, my evil black and white cat is quietly waiting to see his Pies play the Cheaters on TV on Sunday night.
