On the news tonite they said Embers was a chance to be back this week against the Dees. Personally i dont want him to return this week. Its a bit too soon and he could risk further damage.I rekon another week, ready for a comeback against the Purple Pansies, Anchor ****ers wateva u wanna call em. What do u think?

Really, its down to Embley- if he's fit, he's fit, and one more week wouldn't make a difference either way. However, if there's one thing which is pretty bloody certain its that our selection staff are NOT in the habit of bringing people in until they are tip top and ship shape- anything but. If Embley gets the nod to play this week, I have no doubt he will be 100%.

If he is okay to go, it would be nice to bring him back this week- the way to go would be to give him a light day where he can play up forward- gives us a handy marking target and gives him a chance to get back some confidence and match fitness before the derby- another classic matchup with Headland looms.

Mead is on the money, if he comes back, there is no doubt he will be 100%, and there won't be any risk of the fracture re cracking.

Other good news was that Gaspar should be playing for South Fremantle this week.

This is great news, looks like were coming right for the business end of the season. If we can get Gardiner, Embers and Gaspar back in the next two weeks then were going to be very hard to beat! Its looking much better :-)

Embers is a great player as we all know and boy have we missed him as we haven't won a game since he got injured. It would be great if he was back this week to have a couple weeks to be ready for the final and as Mead said the club would not risk him if he was not 100% fit. Hasn't he been at clinic with the kids doing overhead marks and the like? I know that doing things like that is a lot different then being on the footy field but at least it's a positive if he is marking overhead as it shows he can lift his arm alright without any problems. Like Mead I am a real Embers fan and have been since he first started as a seventeen year old. He had star written all over him right from the start he just needed the time to mature and show everyone what he could do. Hope he is ready to play as no game is an easy game and we need him back as much as Gards, fingers crossed.

With Embers and Gardy in the side, we are a better balanced team, however even with these 2 back, a few players worry me with their form.

I hope these 2 are ripe for the finals, we will need them badly. If we go in without them we can kiss our finals campaign goodbye.

3 weeks recovery from a fractured shoulder seems rather hasty. My gut is telling me he should have that extra weeks rest, but my head says look what Fletcher did in his return last week.

Eagles won't risk him against Melbourne unless he is definitely 100% fit.
I doubt he'll play.

He's done no contact work yet and the club is not going to risk that becoming a more serious injury by playing him prematurely.
