V2 Drafters, please post your teams in formation and with a short paragraph (ie 100-150 words) defending your selection, I'll post them in the OP as I've done with my own in the V1 Poll thread.

Everyone else, once the teams are all posted pick the 3 best teams, most votes wins.

Jeremias

lion4life (4-4-2 Diamond):

Sturridge Aguero
Downing
Schneiderlin Henderson
Lucas
Monreal Fonte Aldereiweld Ivanovic
Valdes

SM (4-2-3-1):

Forster
Sagna Reid Chester Taylor
Song Jedinak
Oscar ozil hazard
Giroud

With Jedinak and Song breaking up most attacking line ups and distributing the ball out wide to Oscar and Hazard, this side is well-balanced. Ozil in the centre gives the side a lot of creativity and Hazard and Oscar on the wings bring pace and attacking prowess. The defence is a little inexperienced, but with Reid on the verge to a move to a big club in the summer, there's obviously a lot of potential in it. Chester has proven he's a versatile player playing at Right Wing or Right back for Hull as well as his preferred CB where he has played over 150 games for Hull. Forster and Sagna bring experience and dourness to the defence.

WorldCup2022Oz (3-5-2):

-------------Hart--------------
-----Zaba--Sakho--Moreno----
-------------Diame-------------
---Ox------Barkley--Coutinho-
--------------Silva--------------
----Berahino------Lukaku------

Joe Hart provides excellent cover to the back 3 of Zaba, Sakho & Moreno all of which have good passing abilities and are quick. Protecting them is the beast that Diame is, cleaning up what gets through the midfield and helping out the back 3 when needed or when either of the flying fullbacks get forward up the wings. And what a midfield my team possesses. Pace, power, skill, strength and guile - my midfield has it all. Ox & Coutinho out on the wings terrorising full backs with Coutinho cutting into the middle and feeding delicious through balls to Lukaku who is strong enough and fast enough to hold off almost any EPL defender. Lukaku is partnered up front by Berahino who feeds off the scraps and presses the opposition high up this field and would undoubtedly score many goals in the resulting mayhem caused by David Silva behind him twisting, turning and probing defences who will have no idea what's going on. Barkley & Silva also possessing the ability to strike from long range.

Added bonus of dropping Diame back into defence and either playing a 4-4-2 or even a 4-3-3 if needed.

Thistle (4-2-3-1):

---------------Cech---------------
Debuchy-Mangala-Terry-Bertrand
-------Fabregas-Fernando--------
----Mirallas---Nasri---Jovetic-----
--------------Falcao---------------

A solid, well balanced side. Backed up by one of the top goalkeepers in the world, the defence is nigh-on impossible to breach as the full backs are effective both ways while the CBs complement each other perfectly. The same can be said for the midfield pairing as Fernando's defensive covering allows Cesc to rack up a world record number of assists. The front three may all be selfish knobs but they are all a handful and no defense would be comfortable facing that lot. Up top is a bloke who can find the net with his eyes closed, and with the quality of service from the midfield he will be happier than a bodybuilder directing traffic.

kregize (4-3-3):

Schurrle-Bony-Milner
Lallana-Lampard
Toure
Cresswell-Vertonghan-Koscielny-Bellerin
Courtois

This is my team, strategy behind it was creating a strong spine of players with Toure, Courtois, Kos and Bony were my primary picks then fill out the flanks with the my other picks. I really think my central defence is probably my strong suit sitting Toure infront of an already strong middle 2 as well as a world class keeper in Courtois. Lampard and Lallana being creative midfielders as well as being threats on goal. Bony is also one of the form strikers in the EPL, always seeming to bob up in goals. Milner is an underrated player as well as a killer cross into Bony. Schurrle is more of your goal scoring winger getting into positions to put the ball in.

Benno_900 (4-2-3-1):

Pantilimon
Clyne Kompany Skrtel Kolarov
Wanyama Wilshere
Walcott Tadic Di Maria
van Persie

A well-balanced side full of quality. Clyne and Kompany are two of the best defenders in their respective positions this season. Skrtel will perform very well alongside a star CB and Kolarov is one of the classiest FBs going around with the supreme ability to take set pieces.

There's a superb spread of steel, energy, goal scoring ability, playmaking ability and general class in that midfield. RvP already fills his boot playing ahead of a shit United midfield - imagine him playing ahead of that lot.

And if you think Pantilimon is the weak point ... food for thought: he is 2nd for games per clean sheet, 5th for goals conceded per game (playing for a shit team) and 1st for saves per game.

I've gone for a variation of the famed 3-5-2 with my lineup:

------Zaba---------Sakho-------Moreno

---------Berahino------Lukaku.

Begovic
Azpilicueta Vlaar Jagielka Felipe Luis
Ramires Blind
Willian Mata Cazorla
Costa

Strong defence with two of the best full backs in the league coupled with two solid central defenders. Begovic is an excellent shot stopper and a solid keeper as well. Central midfield is slightly weaker than attack and defence but that is offset by the strength of the fullbacks given the team is set up for wing play first and foremost. Ramires and Blind are both capable players though and would be more than handy in any team. Willian, Cazorla and Mata are all capable of providing assists and can get on the score sheet themselves as they all have excellent technique on the ball. Costa is there to get on the end of the balls from the trio behind but just as importantly, can get on the end of crosses from the overlapping full backs as well.
