Yes, Huge alright

A Huge Essendon win on the field, but a huge Geelong win off it.

Seriously though, Geelong do compete pretty well with Essendon and it should be an interesting contest. knowing Geelong luck it will rain all night and only 40,000 odd will go

If both sides have got a reasonably injury free squad by the first game - highly unlikely, it could be a closish contest,

Something wrong here.

You reckon we'll finish last, yet still get within a couple of goals of Essendon - either way!

Obviously don't think much of your own side this year

Its a risk we had to take

Windyhill, thankyou for you contribution to the Geel thread, from day 1 when Collingwood started to get rid of their dead wood they were prasied and proclaimed that in 5 years they would be commencing a new era. THAT team has done NOTHING and I MEAN NOTHING, YET, they may win the flag this year or in the next 2- 4 years.

What the Hell is this NOLSEY 77 IDIOT TALKING ABOUT?

IF you want to be sucessful in life, business and sport you have to take a risk, get the right opportunity and capatilise on the opportunity.

IM NOW CONFUSING MYSELF BUT IM NOT GOING TO DELETE THIS DRIBBLE.

Geelong have taken a risk an d got rid of Players such as Bizzell, Houlihan and Murphy. Would they have won GFC a flag, NO but they might get the cats in to 7th or 8th spot.

The next two years Geelong will be pretty ordinary, but what is pretty ordinary today 16th or 5th. The Geelong Football Club has accepted failure as a way of embracing Success in past years.

I think we are on the Right track, BTW WH who was Mr Sheedys First Apprentice to make the grade??? MARK THOMPSON:eek:

THE ERA OF THE CAT AWAITS US.

Sometimes I speak crap but this takes the cake SORRY!!!

Mark Williams actually :D

Mr Sheedys First Apprentice to make the grade???
MARK THOMPSON

MARK WILLIAMS was just an assistant, BOMBER was actually was actually KEVIN"S Second apprentice, NEAL DANIHER was his first former player to be groomed as a senior coach, Bomber second and Mark Harvey Currently.

I would be very surprised if E$$endon won by less than 80 points. I've seen some dud lists over the years, but Geelong's 2002 squad is quite possibly worse than the fitzroy's of 95/96. i mean how can a side compete with hacks such as Milburn, Snell, Woolnough (who???) Cameron Mooney and that fairy princess herself Aaron Lord.
This club will go down the gurgler and fast, i"m glad i left when i did.

If you dislike the club, why do you persist with talking about them whenever the opportunity arises?

Well i agree, the Geelong VS Essenscum games are always corkers. Just like Geelong VS North ones. They seem to be played with more physicallity or determination or something... well from a Geelong point of view anyway.

Loz - my unfortunate namesake - Our list isnt that bad. I mean, we afterall had to aquire this list without breaching AFL guidelines and salary caps... unlike a certain reigning runner-up. :p

Some familiar faces... nice to see you on BigFooty LozNger_6 & madkat182!! :):):)

I am really looking forward to the Geelong vs Essendon game. The Bombouts will have some MCG ghosts leftover from Grand Final Day, just like North did in 1999. Should be a cracker on a barmy Saturday night.

Go Cats!! :)

That 1999 round one game against the Kangaroos was one of the greatest nights I ever had at the footy. I'd LOVE for a repeat performance round 1 this year (now against the Bombers)

I cant wait for it!!

I really couldn't have put it better myself JUB JUB!!!
Loz, why would you spend your time on this forum if you hate Geelong so much!

This club will go down the gurgler and fast, i"m glad i left when i did.

I'm glad you left too coz Geelong don't need supporters like you!!

Ali;)
