I have been hearing reports that essendon will be doing a clean out at the end of the season (remains to be seen if true) with our midfield being one of the slowest in the AFL i was just wondering if u know and pacey midfielders in the TAC cup the bombers could pick?

also who essendon should try and get in the trade period?

I'll trade Brett Burton and Rhett Biglands for David Hille and Mark Johnson.

I think the bombers should trade for a quick midfielder with good skills and then in the draft look for a centre half forward and then some key defenders to hold down full back and centre half back!

Would be nice to find the next Warran Tredra Or Matthew Scarlett for the bombers

Essendon will be going after key position players in the draft, predominantly backs to fill the void on our list. We have quite a few quick youngsters on our list already. Trading we will go for the best we can get when offering players like:
- Bolton
- Richards
- Bullen
- Henneman (hopefully ;) )

Does anyone know of any good centre half backs - full backs that are are chance to be drafted also a centre half forward?

Hosko,

Your on the money Essendon will definately be looking for KP Backmen. The problem is that they will have late picks and they won't find one ready to go. Quick midfielders are the common thought required at Ess but the last few years has seen them draft those blokes - Stanton, Dyson, Winderlich, Walsh - they are now just waiting for them to develop.

I reckon Ess will try and trade up for draft picks again, but after stealing Bradley last year, I'm not sure if clubs would want to do that again.
Pattison (Northern) who won the coaches award in the TAC could be available when Ess have a pick and a couple of talls from SA impressed me in the championships in particular James Mcleay. The boys from SA on bigfooty have given this kid a wrap as well. I reckon they look for a developing tall late in the draft as well.

Shane Clayton, Ben Robbins and Shane Harvey for Hille ;) .

We will give you Burton for free! He is useless!

I don't think Shane Harvey would want to go back to Ess and I don't think Ess would ever want him back.
Clayton is no good.

You have Haynes as well who has pace, put McPhee in the middle and use him.

Although i would trade for someone like Giansiracusa maybe or a Geelong midfielder because they have so many........Spriggs :p

Actually Sheedy could probabky do with Spriggs, he would make him a star

There are whispers the bombers are looking at spriggs (geelong) and salopek (port) to help the bombers midfield and then in the draft get a centre half forward, a centre half back, a full back & possibly another midfielder

Anything Else? 3 Midfielders, a CHF, a CHB, and a FB.

Fair shopping list

With all credit to Stanton, Dyson, Winderlinch and Walsh I don't think they are the answers to your prayers.

I'd offer Spriggs and a second round pick for David Hille.

What would port want for salopek?? he will be a deadset gun, only had 2 years on ports list and was very young when draftedso he would still only be 18 or just 19 i think
