Hi all,

(This isn't a troll) - I have been compiling a list of each club's players and their contractual status (to view, click here - http://www.magpies.net/nick/bb/viewtopic.php?t=25648 ), and I'm wondering if you can help me out here.

Are there any changes to be made to the following list/do you know the status of players 'unknown'?

Emerging Essendon youngsters Jobe Watson and Jason Winderlich have today signed new two-year deals with the Bombers. Both look to be genuine long-term mid-field prospects and they are now tied to the Club until at least the end of the 2008 season.

Hopefully he's one of the next signed. The signings seem to be following some loose order of importance so i'm not too concerned yet.

Watson was a given but i'm stoked they've got faith in Winderlich.

You're right, it's tough. I have no idea about Rama's situation and it's too touchy a subject so i'll just assume he stays. Nash, Lee, Laycock and Solomon just about have to stay imo (unless we get a great offer which may or may not help with the list size anyway). Leaves only Pev and Jolley. Both have been decent recently.

I was happy to get Campo and i've been reasonably happy with his performances but at his age and with Winder, Dyson & Nash coming through i reckon he's a bit fortunate he got the 2 years or he could be in that same boat.

I would be shocked if Lee went given we are not over flowing with tall defenders at the moment.

I highly doubt Lee would go, Pev is less of a need at the moment, hope everything is cool with McPhee

Pevs will sign a new 2 year at seasons end aswell, no doubt about that. Soloman will very soon sign a 1 year deal and actually play decently in order to get a new 2 year deal aswell. And Lee will sign a 2 year deal as he is a ready made replacement for Fletcher after next season obviously.

So not only has Lee only played a couple of games he is ready to replace Fletch after next year even though he signed for 2 more years, sounds very obvious to me.

Rookie list contracts are 1 year contracts, with an option for a second year.
Firman, O'Keefe, Hocking, McKinnon can all be retained on the rookie list providng the club wants them and they want to remain on the rookie list.

They can of course also be promoted to the senior list, or try their luck in the draft.

2nd year rookies either have to be promoted, or go into the draft.

They can, but the player has to nominate for the National Draft and are available to be drafted by another club.

It happened with Adrian Wilson. He was delisted after one year on the Rookie list, redrafted and on it for another two years.

We might find out a bit more about Firman this week with a bit of luck.

Hes had 2 years on the rookie list! So he has either got to be elevated to the senior list or he's out the door
