Very sad news Babycakes. My cat of 17 years died earlier this year. Luckily for me, I didn't have to have her euthanased. I took her to the vet who said take her home and see how she goes, she had a last meal and died that night. I know how much it hurts to lose a pet but you should be proud that you did the right thing by your cat. I buried Tina in the backyard under the bush she used to lounge around in. I was terribly upset for days after her death (and she was my second cat to pass on in the past 4 months) but you will get over it in time and remember all the great times you had with your cat. Tina was one of my best friends and had even sat out four Hawthorn premierships with me! I still miss her but I feel good that I was able to provide her with a good life-in time, you'll feel the same way about your cat.
