G'day Peoples,

I'm a Kangas supporter who was a very big Evan Hewitt fan while he was at our club. I always thought he was never given much of an opportunity and had the potential to be a gun.

I watched with interest last year as he seemed to be establishing himself as a decent CHB with your team, but seems to have disappeared so far this year. I noticed he wasn't even named in any of your Wizard Cup squads and have heard no mention of him in your injury lists. Whats happened to him and hows he going?

Evan was injured

Evan had ankle surgery over the summer so he had a restricted pre-season and it has been giving him problems since. Hopefully he will suit up for Norwood in the SANFL this week and get some form and he might push his way back in the Crows!

Thanks for that. Hope he can finally realise his potential as he has all the attributes to be a great player and is a really good bloke also. Always struggled in Carey's shadow at North, but considering our lack of key possie height players at the moment, gee we could do with him now!!

By the way, i always thought Mark Stevens was another who looked the goods but was treated very poorly at North. But hasn't he gone onto to bigger and better things!?! Our loss! Mind you, McCartney has been a very solid player for us so i guess its been a win-win for both clubs.

Yes, Mark has gone on to bigger and better things with the Crows. Partly because he was given a chance, but also I think because it gave him a fresh start. He took the most of his opportunitys and it is great to see a guy like him succeed.

Jason was a good player for us, but he had some trouble controlling his aggression on the ground, again like Mark, when he was given a new opportunity he took it. A great move all round I think!
