Having a crap day so i thought i would have another whinge about Darren Goldspink. Read Tuesdays with Todd on hawks website. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to work out what he was talking about. Also i don't know how many of you were listening to him when he was umpiring. I felt like hitting him through the TV. This bloke needs to learn to keep his mouth shut when umpiring, some of the stuff he said was both unproffesional and insighted the reaction of the players. A clear case of over umpiring an individual thinking they are bigger than the game. Maybe i should have started a most disliked umpire poll

A big 'Well Done' must go to Sam Newman for voicing Hawthorn supporters concerns last night on the Footy Show, he even went to the point of saying that Campbell Brwon should not of had to put up with the crap that Goldspink was saying to him. For those who didn't see it, Sam even used replays of the nights incidences. Even Mathew Lloyd had a go at Goldspink. But hat's off to Sammy, I couldn'nt have said it better myself.

Yes, GALON, I saw it. TFS comes on after midnight up here in Far North Queensland. Really exposed Goldspink. I can remember the days of just one field umpire and games would come and go, many of them far more blood thirsty than what is allowed today, and you wouldn't notice the name of who was umpiring.

Completely concur with Newman (usually think he is a richard cranium) that umpires should be seen and not heard. It seems to me that the likes of Goldspink want to be the centre of attraction .... it is all up the spout and the AFL will need to address such aggressive and bias acts by umpires urgently.
