everitts not a team man never will be why do you think hes had 3 clubs and holds the record for most losses ever by a player

Yes. Well I guess what you're saying is that you can win 2 Club Best and Fairest awards (including one at your own club in 2004) by not being a team player, then? Pfft.

ps: the win-loss thing is meaningless. Any player who plays his entire career at struggling clubs that don't appear in the finals could say as much. Paul Roos as a player would probably be even worse, before his last couple of successful seasons at Sydney at least. But it says nothing about his performances during his Fitzroy days.

Love the combination was a bit worried about us picking up Spida at first because I thought they were going to try and play him as the No.1 Ruckman. He certainly will be an excellent back-up though until we can develop a quailty replacement. Doyle is not the Answer he is genuinely no good hes had plenty time to prove himself and failed every time. Would have liked them to keep Erickson on the list but they may have got Currie as a bargain in last years draft.

I dont agree that Doyle has failed every time. Failed to stay healthy maybe. He was great at the end of last year.
But the addition of Spida has really done something to Jolly. He is on fire. I just wished Spida had brought his kicking boots with him from Hawthorn. How many set shots has he missed so far this year?

Yeah he has missed a few but so has every other player in our team really. As for Doyle how years has been on the list and how many games has he played. It's almost more years than games I admit injury has hurt him but honestly lets get rid of him and move on.

I think Doyle's second half of the year in 2006 was actually very good for us. But if there is a let down it's been his effectiveness as a tall option forward. He lacks the pace to go back too often, so he really need to take his chances when rested near the goals. He's promised a lot but never quite delivered on that score. But loving the idea of having Doyle join our ruck combo over this season, for sure.

Unless Jolly or Everitt gets injured Dolye should not be seen near the Swans best this season and even then I'd rather see a younger player get given a crack. Obviously the Swans recruiters know Doyle is never going to make it or they wouldn't have recriuted Everitt(Short Term) & Currie(Long Term) last year.

Haven't seen much of our young ruckman in waiting. Anyone seriously pushing hard enough to get a spot over Doyle if the guy gets fit? Goods news if true, but I'd be surprised.

At this stage there is not one other than Doyle in waiting which is why Everitt was recriuted so they have a good enough No.2 ruckman until a better back-up for Jolly is found it might not be Currie but its definatley not Doyle

Thankgod i didn't see that part. Leo Barry is known to prance around and dodge the players. Most of the times, he gets pinged for holding the ball. I cringe everytime Leo has the ball, i get worried if he 'dances' too much which will result in a free kick and possibly the opposition will kick a goal.

yep, leo affects me the same way but i'm happy to say i thought he had one of his best and most consistent games the other night....and the jolly-spida combination is probly the best thing about the swans the past few weeks, there's no doubt jolly has improved his own weight this season, in general play and in rucks, not sure if that's spida's influence or the competition or what.....would hate to lose doyle though, but it might be that he's a very useful trade bait at season's end, teams like togers and bombers will be loooking for good big men
