Anyone think the referee would have played 3 minutes injury time if Everton had been leading 2-1?

No chance. We got a booking for taking a free kick too quick. Joke of a game refereeing wise. Grealish got fouled 5-6 times before they bothered to book anyone for it.

I like our fightback but showed how we lacked a proper forward to finish some of those crosses in

What a brilliant win, turning that around after such a turgid first half performance was a sight to behold. Alvarez, Jack and Iliman the boys from the Blue stuff 💙

Really solid performance tonight. Up to 5th for now and everything to play for this season.

They call us neverton as a troll, I want to petition it to be noVARton. After watching replays of the pen appeal, how that wasn’t looked at properly is a joke.

Watching live it was hard to tell from the single clear replay they showed, but after checking it out again it’s a ****ing joke how shit it gets implemented. The technology is actually impressive, trouble is no one uses it properly. Could learn a lot from how cricket reviews things - that’s still not perfect but it’s probably the best example of how it’s done

We are a social experiment, aren’t we?

Can’t complain about Grealish getting a red, it was stupid. But Keane’s red is ridiculous and joins a long line of bullshit decisions.

Nothing violent in it and was challenging for the ball. 3 game ban and Armstrong had a guy put his studs through his calf all for a yellow, which was nowhere near the ball.

We’ve somehow managed 5 points from 4 games which isn’t incredible by any stretch, however when you factor in how bad we’ve played and players we’ve been missing, that’s not a bad result.

Have been playing pretty badly though.

Absolute joke to give him a booking for that, but it’s Everton after all. 10pt deduction.

It’s like they want to kill all the passion and emotion in the game. VAR finding a reason to rule it out (which is what it appears they are mostly for - not there for correcting big mistakes) would have ruined the entire thing.

Can we just play away every ****ing match day for the rest of the season? No point having a brand spanking new stadium if we can’t even win for the fans there anymore…

Oppos are rubbing their hands together & licking their lips when see us coming up as an away trip then shuddering when they see us as the visiting team.

Only Arsenal have won more away games and our PPG is 1.62, whereas our home PPG isn’t terrible but it’s nowhere near good enough.

But hey - at least we’re not Tottenham

Sign a right back, left back, striker and don’t lose anyone important, and we can be cooking again.

Need to get the **** out of this banter era.

Anyone else sick of the double standard VAR rulings? Manager celebrations, hair pulling, offside rulings all seem to be okay to be given against us, but other managers have run on to the pitch to celebrate, there has definitely been hair pulling happen in penalty box situations and they seem to just pick and choose whether a player is affecting play or not when deciding offside. Club needs to speak up.

The FA must absolutely hate us. They tried to send us to the championship. Twice. And now seem to make examples out of us for things that other clubs don’t seem to get pinged for. I don’t mind that we are getting pinged for over celebrating, players punished for hair pulling, or striking teammates, but at least treat other teams the same.

You get called a sook when you make those points, but the double standards and inconsistency is infuriating.

We have been the recipient of many dubious calls over the years, have received multiple apologies after the fact but nothing is yet to change.

1/2 EPL clubs to have a player banned for “diving”, none since Niasse despite other clubs having players flop from a slight breeze.

Ndiaye booked for his mild seagull celebration. KDH booked for taking a free kick “too quickly”. KDH booked for a clean AF ball winning tackle, that led to a suspension on the back of the previous one. Moyes booked for celebrating in a non-inflammatory way.

Keane banned for 3 games for an incidental hair pull when focusing & challenging for the ball. Tete grabs at it deliberately before the ball even arrived and it’s cleared, despite chief of PMGOL saying (after Keane) that’s it’s always going to be a red card incident. Our appeal with dismissed after about 3 seconds btw.

Rodri handball not given, Tarkowski given when trying to block the ball that was deflected as he’s trying everything to keep his arms out of the way behind him.

This is only a few off the top of my head ffs

Yep. The double standards are infuriating.

And we all still remember Collina in 2005. Heaven forbid we get in to the CL at the expense of Liverpool
