Just wondered if you guys got to see Patrick Ewing have his number retired and what you thought of the ceremony?

Being a diehard Knick fan i reckon it has to be one of the more emotional nights i can remember. Watching 'Beast' patrol the paint for 15 years then leaving and going to Seattle was hard, but watching on saturday and it being the final chance to have him in MSG as a Knick player was pretty emotional. New York couldn't have put on a better night to honour a champion, with all the former Knick greats and some of the NBA's greatest ever players there to send off Ewing was sensational, i hope you all had the pleasure of watching the night. New York winning in 2OT was just the icing on the cake :D

John Starks made Patrick Ewing. He was the forgotten man in the evening's proceedings.

lol....Starks was an ok 2 guard, could score a little but that was about it. If only the Knicks bigwigs could have provided Ewing with more talent, perhaps he could have gotten that elusive ring.

I saw the game and the ceremony. It was great. Patrick Ewing is one of my all time favourite players and it was great to see him honoured. Easily the greatest Knick of all time.

Oh and the game was pretty good too. Spreewell was unconcious in OT!!!

Very good ceremony. Well organised and brought me a bit emotional, because Ewing was a great competitor against Dave Robinson for a decade and meant alot to the NBA.

It's a shame he didn't finish his career in NYC, but regardless of his off-court life, he was a great player and thoroughly deserves to have his #33 retired.

Yeah Mully was an awesome player in his day, and being drafted out of St. Johns he was always gonna get a big cheer.
