I don't know if this is false hope, but I am feeling a little bit excited about our future (08+). If MC becomes the player I am thinking he is going to be and the young talls take off, well I can't wait for the season to start and watch the youngster develop.

Bring it on.
 
MC? I have zero expectations of Martin Clarke if thats who you're talking about.

I'm excited by the fact we have a nucleus of kids in Rusling, Cloke, Reid, Pendlebury, Thomas, Brown and Heath Shaw who will all come through the ranks together and hopefully peak at the same time and get us a flag.

Fraser, Didak, Johnson and Swan are a little bit older but they should be along for the ride aswell.

Can't say I have ever seen him play so I have to wait until he runs out for either Williamstown or Collingwood next season.

Aren't we all, mate. The start of the season has an unbridled sense of urgency to get me excited. Expectations are wavering high. Everyone is positive, not a bad word is said. I think we just want to see some action.

For the Pies, success is on the horizen, will have to wait a little longer though, we have a young list. If you believe it you're halfway there.
 
Don't expect the youngsters to bring us immediate success.

What exactly is false hope? You can either hope something will happen ( the pies dominating ) or not. If it doesnt pan out the way you want it to, it doesn't make it false ;) Its still hope.

As for Martin Clarke, I will make up my mind about him when I see him play football. From all reports hes a 'natural athlete' therefore I can see why many people are excited to see him play. I trust our recruiting staff has made the correct decision in drafting him as well as the other guys we recruited.

Exciting times ahead ;)
 
IM EXCITED!But my problem is that i'm not patient enough.Had we had won a flag in 2002-2003 i would be feeling more relaxed now.But i know we have a young list and we are rebuilding,can't wait for for dawes,reid and brown to be automatic selections each week.Faaaaaaaaaark,by the time this happens with our other inclusions we will be an unstoppable Juggernaut,destroying everything in our path.We will have kpp players running faster than speedy midfielders,maybe the collingwood team of 2008,2009,2010 will be premiership side we have all been waiting for.I know that with bryan,richards and josh.Our ruck stocks will be very quick and mobile.At least Josh can spend some time down forward and we also have the option of Bryan's booming left foot kick to clear the packs in a flooding situation.It's all good, time will tell.We also will have more than one option with the players we have amassed to change game plan.I know that other clubs like the hawks and carlton will argue that their future spines will be better than ours.Well we'll see,won't we.In ayear or two we will have a great blend of expreience ,youth and Speeeeeeeeeeeeeeeed.Oh the premiership's a cakewalk for the good,old collingwood!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
