ok, i'm a little durnk (he he). but this is one of the most exciting years in our short, yet proud 2 flag history. our coach is working pretty much with his own list. it's young, but it is also full of quality people and players. going into last year, although i understood the retention of our champs, it was always a risk. it didn't work out due to a significant injury list that put far too much pressure on our ageing stars. and we even got to the point where edwards and burton had to play under duress or underdone.

so now this year. near a full squad to choose from. the sub-rule potentially in our favour because we have 3 potential second rucks/kpp's to choose from. picking up sauce and also tambling (who is a star, but has played in a cellar team) is huge for our club. tippett can stay at ff, walker roaming the 50 arc and a heap of guys to run through the midfield. backline looks superb, most under-rated footy player in the afl (graham johncock) hopefully playing a full year.

it's time to get excited. there's been stuff all over the last couple of days, even though we are getting closer and closer to our nab cup game. come on everyone, pick this apart if you wish, and i know a few of you will. but be reasonable, this is going to be a huge year for us.

get on, and get on early.

I am pretty excited despite the rain outside, however I'm sure my excitement will dissipate once the realisation that it just the NAB cup sets in. 6 weeks until round 1

Definitely the start of a new era at the club. If we get a few injuries along the way (even a normal, AFL-average amount) we should see some teenagers in the line up at various times.

It will be exciting and frustrating in equal doses but the quality of the young players we have drafted over the last few years hopefully means we are building towards something.

yep, misses hid every decent ounce of alcohol that was within my reach. she's not paricularly nice. thank you for your kind wishes. ambulance proved to not be necessary.
