Just heard reports from 3AW that Ian Collins has announced his resignation from the Carlton Board as the president of the CFC. This isn't all that much of a shock as it was hinted at a few days ago in the media.

It's heartening to see that he has decided to leave at a time when the club could really use a fresh face in place of Collo as the new president of our proud club.

Thanks for your services Collo, and all the best with Telstra Dome!

As i had pointed out... it was already hinted at by the media. Although it hadn't been said on any of the main boards as such.

What difference does it make? The main point is Collo's out and it's time to finally rebuild at board level.

Good luck to Collo for the future. I'm not celebrating because I think he was the president we had to have. He gets little recognition for being the tough old bastard needed to pull our players and staff into line after years of grazing at the expense of the club.

Having said that, I am excited about seeing a new image portrayed and I hope whoever gets the gig in the interim and long term, will be up to the task.
