i remember watching this guy before he was drafted by richmond and he really looked to have the goods. what's happened to him since then? looked like he was going to get into the seniors this year but injuries let him down. does he have the ability to play in the afl?

Yeah he has what it takes to play league footy, i guess the question is how well. he showed a bit in a couple of games with us but had a few quiet ones as well. A victim of not enough game time i think.

He is fearless on his attack on the ball and is a good mark for his size - wether he has the polish to maintain a regular spot in the ones is anyones guess.

I have never wished a delisted player from Richmond well as i would hate to see them burn us later, but this time i will make an exception. Of course there is the rumour going around that he did something to upset people at the club - if anyone knows what this let let me know.

Ezra was the guy that created a storm a few years ago when Joe Gutnick would not draft him to melbourne because he felt uncomfortable about making jewish people play on friday nights / saturday days.

He showed too much ability and talent in what I saw of him to be given so few games and eventually the flick as he has now.

There has to be something more to it.

Forgive me if I am wrong here people as I never actually saw Ezra play live, but in a couple of games I saw he looked like he lacked pace for a player of his size.

If this is true it probably went against him in our line up.

That is true. He wasn't the quickest player on the list but made up for it with the ability to find the ball. He has clean hands in traffic, is a strong mark and a beautiful kick.

Ezra was never given a fair go to determine whether he had the goods to keep down a spot in the firsts.

As I recall, Ezra was best on ground in our loss against Freo in the west, followed by a quiet game against the hawks, and was then never to see the light of day again in the 1's.

I wish Poyas the best in his career and if he goes on to prove Richmond wrong, Frawley should be held accountable as he never gave him a fair go. For now, we have to trust Frawley's judgement.

tigers

poyas may still play for us...if he' available at pick 60 something , don't be suprised if he gets drafted...remember Chris hyde ?
if poyas keeps training with us .....u never know....

No point picking him up unless we're prepared to play him.

With all the starts & stops at Richomond, kind of think he would be better off with a fresh start.

doubts it very much.he obviously has stepped on someone,s toes at tigerland and as its been pointed out he had plenty of chance.s to get promoted to the seniors but wasnt due to this very reason. those toes are still there.

cheers!
