Eventually when Collingwood build there oval on the current olympic park ground i think this will be a great base for us. Definately world class facilities even if we do split them. To have proper recovery facilities and a central location will be a huge plus.

Casey as well was a worth while investment. The support of the council has meant that financially we have not paid a large amount to have a prestine oval and a second base where we can train without any cricket pitches or other teams interupting.

I reckon having to share it could be a massive win, we may well end up learning some great new techniques, methods, ways of thinking from the Storm and Victory people.

Good point. I have no doubt the three teams will help one another where possible, whether it be from a conditioning point of view or administrative. And a little bit of tackling training from the storm boys wouldn't go astray!

I'm pretty sure I've read there is no room at the bubbledome for new tenants, and something about the original tenants having rights to approve/disapprove any future new tenants.


I'd still love to have our own base down in the future. But this is a great compromise for now. Being a stones throw from the MCG makes it very good.

Heart are being courted by Etihad for both matches and admin facilities. Hopefully thats where they end up. Rebels not sure- but as master bate said theres no room for them at the Bubbledome so they better look elsewhere!

ps maybe Junction oval for them?

Hopefully the new baseball teams base is somewhere in the vicinity of the inner atmosphere of the sun. Worst sport in the history of sports, the further away from Earth the better
