Hey guys,

First post on this board, and as such, apologies for the plug.

Just kicked off a small live commentary project on twitter, @bytheminAFL.

Bythemin has a large following with the soccer in Europe and has recently expanded to other sports like tennis, F1 etc. I explained to them how passionate AFL supporters are and asked for the opportunity to run an AFL feed.

It's a very fan based project, relying on (as well as encouraging) the input of supporters.

We are looking for volunteer writers to cover games each weekend. It's not a huge commitment and is a great opportunity to have yourself heard. No experience required.

The aim is to provide humorous, witty but unbiased minute by minute commentary.

Requirements are limited, but include:
- access to coverage of the game
- twitter
- sense of humour
- reasonable understanding of the English language

If you're interested or know of anyone that might be, I would greatly appreciate it.

As a side note, I am finding it difficult to promote the feed without seeming "desperate". Not keen on asking for retweets/follows in general. We would like the commentary to promote itself i.e the followers find the tweets interesting and/or funny.

Any ideas/feedback on this?

Cheers

Gazza
