Fantasy Punt - $50 League

I have been playing Fantasy Punt (https://www.aflfantasypunt.com.au) for quite some time now and it's a Fantasy game that has got me excited.

Fantasy + Punting = fun in my book..

It was a bit frustrating just being able to play in $10 games, but now they have introduced a game with a $50 stake. The more people that play, the bigger the prize pool. Finally it looks like there could be a serious size prize pool this weekend. There is also a free game for the wimps out there that aren't willing to put their money where their mouth is.

Do others think this is the direction Fantasy is heading? I bloody hope so

I love me some fantasy punt.

With the free game they're finally limiting the number of entries people can do. Should make it much more fun.

The $50 pool interests me. If I have enough time will do an entry.

edit: Just checked out the free game and they've changed the salary cap way too high.

Salary Cap is just too high now. Used to be a really good challenge trying to fit everyone in and taking a chance with some mid priced players. 4m for game day basically lets you pick the most expensive people in each position and still have change. Just a tad ridiculous.

I've got so much money leftover I've got 22 premiums and 3 midpricers (plus a ruck rookie) on my bench. Contemplating whether even if the $50 pool is worth it. Everyone will have 22 premiums therefore it is pot luck really.

Can't stand the new salary cap. Way too high, can just pick as many guns as you want.

Having some issues withdrawing my winnings. Won $20 on the free game. Then made a team for the $5 essendon vs rich game and came first.

It's saying the maximum I can withdraw is $32....what the hell is up with that?

I played it last year and also earlier on in the year. Haven't put together a team for the last few rounds but I did make up a team the other week that I didn't enter and noticed the salary cap was massive… thought it was just a once off. Completely ruined if it stays that high.

One of the best parts about it was to try and pick players that aren't usually fantasy relevant.

Yeah it's crap. Last round for me. Gone from being a lot of fun to pick as many guns as you want. It's basically like match day on the fantasy site now.
