If true (I'd trust Ralph about as far as I could kick him) congratulations, and well earned.

He would have got it after his 5 goal effort a few weeks ago if not for Andrew Gaff having a blinder the same weekend.

And who knows, he could be the best of the lot of the noms this year in a few seasons time.

I actually think Blairy has Been Good but So has Fasolo I think it be 50/50 between the 2 thought I think Fasolo will be the better player long term

Rising star noms have been a reward for few consistent game in a row for several years now. Nothing surprising there.

Agree, granted that Fasolo has played better than Blair in the past 2 weeks but I would still take Blair over Fasolo.

i think fasolo has passed him i cant really recall blair doing much at all this year bar the port game

Blair is still in front this year IMO, but Fasoo has certainly shown that he has what it takes to be an AFL player, and even obvious signs that he could be a good AFL player.

Very pleased with his first year.

Don't get me wrong, I am stoked Fasolo has been nominated but this was my thought immediately, not that I want Port to succeed or anything but surely it would have made sense for the AFL to give them some positive news and a player in his what second, third game kicking 6 goals when his team has scored 3-5 for the last 3 weeks?
