sorry for invading your board, but i was just wondering why he was brought into the game so late? did the coaches just believe that fasolo was not needed due to the score, or did malthouse forget he had a substitute

either way, congrats on the win, it was a great game and you were clearly the better side in the end

Dids should have subbed at the end of the 3rd quarter. No idea why he wasn't...

Malthouse was worried going in with so many defenders that hadn't played in a while that one of them would cramp up late and wouldn't be able to play out the game.

As he stated after the game, a few of our defenders came into this game under-done, and Malthouse didn't want to use the substitute too early then have one of these defenders cramp up in the last, so waited for as long as possible to make sure we weren't a man down in the last quarter.
