Your right on 100% committed to footy

I think it is good if players show talent in another sport wasn't our recent recruit Tory Dickson once in the Tennis Australia Junior top 10 rankings ?
top 5*

Libba and Wallis came straight out of the private school system too?

Our future prospects are looking good...

:D

That was a great list posted of player's sons.

Can anybody post a similar list, but with the focus of the players we have missed.

1. Assuming that the father played at least one game for the Bulldogs.
eg Smedts now at Geelong.
2. Assuming that the grandfather played at least one game for the Bulldogs.
Eg Talia, now at Adelaide.

Wallis and Libba played TAC cup footy for Calder Cannons.

Minson played for Norwood SANFL.
Wilbur only played 2 games in the Norwood u19s and was drafted pretty much straight out of the St Peters College 1st XVIII (I don't think he even went to draft camp?)

Whether you play 1 game or 100 for the mighty Redlegs, you are still a Norwood boy;)

So can anyone verify if Beaser is still playing footy?

Would be awesome if we got him and Hunter as f/s selections this year!!!

I still have my Footscray #18 jumper from when I was a little kid. Beaser Senior was such a champ, and had the bonus of #18 going to Leon Cameron after the Pieman retired.

If we draft Beaser, he should be known as Party Pieman!!

He is. It's only school footy as far as i know, he was pictured in a photo in an article on the herald sun website about a young fella who's grandad played for us, he had epilepsy. There's a link in another thread on the board, someone mcmillan?

I posted that thread, but the article is from 2011. I thought someone posted that he gave footy away for rowing in the summer just gone. Unless that meant he concentrated on rowing over the summer (the APS regatta is held in late March).

Anyone know if he is pulling the boots on for Geelong Grammar in the APS comp?

Macca formerly provided tutelage to Geelong Grammar footy kids, so would have an opinion about the Party Pieman.

From the sounds of it he's quite a handy KPF prospect!!

Ben Reid and Sam Reid are walk up starts to that team of missed father sons (due to number of game splayed anyway).

Jarrad Roughead too.

Another f/s connection was Jackson Coleman who was unselected in the 2011 draft. His dad (Glenn Coleman) played 70 odd games for us, along with 125 odd between Sydney and Fitzroy.

196cm/91kg KPF.

Read an article a while back where he indicated he will nominate for this year's draft.

How is Jose Romero's boy travelling with Doutta Stars, U14s I think ?

Jose 89 games with North and 122 with Dogs

Coleman played cricket for Australia U19's and only decided on football late. He was old enough to be drafted in 2010 but I don't even know if he nominated. He was overlooked last draft.

He's playing VFL for Sandringham and kicked 5 a few weeks back v Bendigo

Galaxy was one of the reason Grant kicked so many goals early in his career. He would do all the hard bullocking work up the ground.

Another two in the same year would be great value

Still think it would have been a great idea for Ayce Cordy to not nominate for the draft until 1 year later (on his own thinking of course as draft tampering is not allowed :D).

He was never going to play in his first season so he could've just gone down to Williamstown for 1 year on his own accord and nominated the following year when we could pick him up effectively as a 3rd rounder with Libba and Wallis instead of using our first rounder pick.

Its a great idea and not suspicious at all!

Someone on the WOOF forum coined "Deuce Cordy" for Ayce's younger brother Zane :)
