wtf is he? his name popped up on another thread, and it sounds vaguely familiar, yet for the life of me i cant remember anything about him, nor can i find anything on him in google.

He was a bloke who was on the listI think in the early 90's. I'm pretty sure he only played reserves for us. He is of some sort of Islander background, possibly Kiwi/Tongan/Samoan???????. He is a fairly massive guy and the last time I saw him he was playing for Clayton, when they were still in the Eastern League.

He was actually around in the early 80s (circa 1983, from memory). I'm pretty sure he was Fijian. A bit of a cult figure at the time, but I can't recollect if he played too many senior games.

Around the time of Wes Fellows(another big guy) i thought he did play a couple of senior games.... maybe it was reserves, he was FIJIAN.

Ah yes... Wes Fellowes. He never lived up to his potential, did he? An absolute mountain of a man with the heart the size of a pea. A real shame; he could have been anything.

As for Fatui, I seem to remember seeing him play in a few practice matches for us, but hell, it was a long time ago and I was just a kid at the time. How long was he on our list for overall?

From memory Fellows dad was big at the club or played for the club...... man you got me .... would not have a clue about his length of time on the list. :)

Yep, he (obviously) did have one good year. I'm pretty sure he barely played another senior match after 1986, though. Look, I could be wrong about him, but I seem to recall the opinion at the time was that he was a bit soft for somebody his size.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure Wes' old man played in the '58 premiership side (I think his name was Graham?).

Coincidentally the VFL introduced drug testing in 1987.

He's not the guitarist, he's the lead singer, Sting.

More importantly I think he's (IIRC) the great grandson of Gordon Coventry.
