Favourite Car

We need more car threads so here comes one.

What is your favourite car? no matter how out of reach it may be.

For me it would be an R34 Nissan Skyine GTR, a 2.5 litre straight six twin turbo 4wd you just couldnt beat it for the money.


So what about everyone else any price tag any age just what is your favourite car?

OK fave of all time is the 1963 Corvette Stingray...........nice.

And I know everyone will laugh at me but my dream car is a Mazda 121. LOL

well, i dont think i'll bother naming those ferrari's, or mclaren super cars....

so i'll just name some decent 'affordable' cars...

favourites would include:

lotus elise & exige ($70k & $120k).... wooooo... beautiful....
light as a feather, ball-tearing acceleration...

jeep wrangler... hopefully my next car...
just love this rugged stuff ~~~
busy scanning the tradingpost for some mid $20k ones...

I dont really want anything too fancy or expensive, just a 65/66 Ford Mustang Convertible should keep me happy until i get my dream Corvette (maybe the 66 Corvette 427 Convertable)

ummm also a holden commodore HSV, silver. blue mag wheels, rear spoiler. cd player, ummmm and yeah bascially a HSV with the lot.

Well cars dont really excite me, so im extremely happy with my Le Mans red, 96 EF falcon. It has awesome shiny 5 spoke mags and I love it!!

Fully equipped with stereo & a mattress I presume.

A beautifully restored (with some sensible modifications) 1960's straight-six saloon would be my dream car:

A Rover 3 litre
Mercedes-Benz 220S "finnie"
Humber Super Snipe
Jaguar Mk2 3.4 litre
Volvo 164s
Holden EH/HR Premier
Ford Falcon XP Futura
Valiant AP6 Regal


something like that would suit me perfectly.

My dream car is a Jaguar XKR in black with 19 inch wheels. But that is a fair few years off! I'm about $180,000 short on getting it!

My next car though is going to be either one of the new shaped Rav 4 Cruisers in silver or or a VW Golf Sport in silver with 16 inch wheels.

My present car is very boring!
