I remember a show that I saw the whole series of when I was a kid, with a ship that floated through space and shot some sort of wave out of the front of the ship.

Sorry, but I can't for the life of me remember the name of that show! It was a good one!!

The Simpsons are of course the greatest.

I think that I remember the show your talking about, can't remember the name though.:(
Forgot all about that one.

I think the mysterious space cartoon a lot of you are trying to remember is Ulysses 31. This link has info on the show.

My faves are the Simpsons (duh), Astroboy, Kimba the White Lion (what a wimp!), Super Friends, Birdman, Space Ghost, Dungeons and Dragons, Masters of the Universe, Battle of the Planets, Ulysses, Milton the Monster, All of the classic Warner Bros, Hulk Hogan's Rock n Wrestling (I know it sucked but I still watched it), Lost Cities of Gold, Futurama, South Park, the Mohammed Ali cartoon, the Harlem Globetrotters' cartoon; the list goes on and on. As you can see I spent my childhood years productively.

I don't where they fit into the scheme of things but did anyone else watch the Sid and Marty Croft shows like H.R. Puf'n'stuff, Sigmund the Sea Monster and Valley of the Lost? I still love those shows today.

I loved Tintin in print and I remember a pretty good cartoon adaption that used to be on TV.

Simpsons now, and Danger Mouse

As a kid Astroboy, Battle of the Planets, Roger Ramjet (we were only allowed to watch the ABC in the arvos!)

In print Asterix, daylight, Tintin

When I was a kid we watched Rocky & Bullwinkle for Mr.Peabody and Fractured Fairytales and Rodger Ramjet.

I hate Cathy.

I like Asterix and Garfield.
Also I don't read the cartoon each week of Ginger Meggs ..I just look for the little graffiti somewhere in it for a chuckle.
:D

FIGJAM, I remember watching a Jap cartoon where they took the Yamamoto (WW2 battleship) and converted it into a spaceship. Sound like the one you remember?
Yep and I remembered the name...STARBLAZERS!!!

They had to travel accross the other side of the universe or something to get a machine that would save the Earth. And they had the weapon that shot the wave out of the front of the ship, but they were scared to use it because it may have also blown them up! By the end of it all, the ship had gone through many battles and was in tatters.

Brilliant cartoon series. I reckon I was about 8-9 years old when I last saw it!

Question...on the cartoon networks on Fox, why don't they have gems like this on?????

Excellent! Futurama is great. Was on 7 but think it went to cable - waiting for a mate to get me some episodes from Morpheus. South Park is still good. Loved Battle of the Planets as a tyke

Can't remember the first thing about what was in the Ali cartoon (except that it had some boxer named Ali in it) but for some reason I can remember the theme tune to this day - "A-li! A-li! A-li! A-li!" Same with Milton the Monster, can only remember the beginning - "I'm Milton, your brand-new-son"

Always liked Rocky & Bullwinkle - loved the Simpsons where they sent it up in the beginning sequence

HR Puf'n'stuf was a bit fruity for mine. If you're talking about live-action kids' shows, it's hard to go past the Banana Splits

The sad thing is, I can remember watching this in high school!

Argh, I was just about to post this as me and a mate were talking about this at Uni today and he has the episode where they return to Earth so I'm going to borrow it off him:D
