Caught up with a few mates last night and somehow we started talking about how a lot of recent, big moments in Footy have felt lacklustre with BT and JB asleep at the wheel.

It got me thinking of some moments in Collingwood history that have actually been enhanced with an elite commentary team behind them, so interested to hear some examples!

Me personally, whenever I think of 2010, I always think of Bruce;

“Swan’s going to kick a goal! They’re home you would think, I know there’s a long way to go…but they’re killing them
now!”

100% this. But mainly because after Cameron kicked the goal for the Lions, they were literally saying the game felt like it was due a DeGoey moment. That couple of minutes felt like they were watching a replay.

I wish there was an official way to get the radio calls overlayed over the top of the TV vision. The TV commentary is pathetic so much of the time. Its either inept (Ch 7) or so biasedly disappointed (Fox Footy) that any Collingwood highlight has no justice done to it.

Theres SEN Sync during live games if you prefer, you can put a delay on the radio and you can line it up with the footage

The commentary was brilliant considering it was such a lay down goal that was taken away by pure determination. No one saw it coming and other commentators might have easily just said ”wowee” “golly gosh”.
