Call me old fashioned but to me a good remix should either improve on the original song or at least offer a clever, interesting take on the original.
I love a good remix but there are a lot of rubbish ones around that do neither.
A few of my favourite remixes.

The first remix probably falls into the second category of offering a clever, interesting take on the original. The original is great but I love the more chilled out remix version.
The second two remixes probably fall into the first category of making the original song better. For me they should be the definitive versions of those songs.
Could have easily included a few other remixes from The Cure's Mixed Up album. The remixes for Lullaby, Lovesong and A Forest are all great too. Awesome album.
Any other suggestions? I'm all ears.
