As I was watching Bobby McFerrins, hit song Don't Worry Be Happy from the magnificent 1988 album, Simple Pleasures a thought came to my head with a rush of blood and memories, that thought was why couldn't the inimtable My Three Sons come on the box allowing me to have a half hour of unbridled pleasure and enthusiasm.
Bobby McFerrin
In case you don't remember the program here is a brief synopsis:
Synopsis: It was a man’s world in the Douglas home, but one of the most appealing aspects of My Three Sons was that Father didn't always know best, and that was okay. They were devoted to each other, which enabled them to conquer their obstacles in a safe, warm, loving environment. Of course, it wasn't always peaches and cream, and there were a lot of growing pains over the twelve-year run.
But anywho, apart from being a thread allowing me to post a pic of Bobby McFerrine I wanted to know who everybodies favourite son was.
Firstly, theres the oldest of the boys, Mike, a wordly chap forced to grow up faster then otherwise required.
Then there was Robbie, the boy who unfortunately was the middle child and therefore felt neglected, yet he was a cheeky boy, with a zest for life and love.
Lastly was my personal favourite, Chip. He may have been nerdy, but beneath it all beat the heart of a kind, generous and warm child who glowed with cheer and bought smiles to the face of all he come across.
Memories of a better day, a better time
