Look matera im a fan of some of Tom Petty's work but you flog a dead horse roughly every 3 months with you obsession. The above list doesnt include all the other Tom Petty threads you create with reagrds to songs or just the man himself. Ease Up already.

Never heard any of his albums, just a few songs.

That comment probably sums up the lack of replies to matera's threads...most people on here like metal or modern rock. It's probably not the best forum to bring up such classic artists like Petty, Costello, Young etc as good as they are (I'll take your word on petty).

Yeah fearless, he does bring up threads every few months on his favourite artists, which also include the Beatles and Stones, with probably the latter two only generating good and lengthy discussions.

It seems like I see a new thread every month on Sam's Town, or Bloc Party, but that's because many people are still willing to talk about it and it generates alot of discussion.

Keep up the posting matera as your thoughts are interesting, but for non-metal and non-alternative modern rock, there needs to be more demand for the discussion here.

I think that most people would be most likely to post about what they know/are more familiar about and you make a fair comment. There is alot of cross appeal of the music genres I would hope to make such posts as relevant as ones about your Bloc Partys, you Muses, etc.
