As far as I can see, the..... Well, there's no nice word, you know who I mean, they use it as a dumping ground to rant against women as a whole, and can't differentiate between feminism and women.

Perhaps the best way to keep on track is to do what I have done and ignore certain posters as they can goad you to an area where it derails the thread. I know I have allowed myself to go down that path.
As the word feminist is thrown around and seems to include all assertive females, think I may read up on the subject. Because I have never been a fan of Germaine Greer, may start with Gloria Steinmen.

An image is relevant if it enhances or justifies your post. Ie:

1. You post your opinion and back it up with an image.
2. You post an image and then discuss the merits of what it is articulating and why you think it's relevant to the discussion at hand.

Simply doing no more than posting an image without a single sentence is like a 4 year old cutting out magazine pictures for her scrap book. Bigfooty is not a scrap book. I highly doubt there are any 4 year olds posting here (physically anyway).

I find it somewhat frustrating to have to educate people on how to have a proper debate. I have more respect for the intelligence of posters on this board.

Therefore, I assume I'm just spelling out the bleating obvious with this post.

Yeah! Because the line as to one's ability to think for themselves is drawn at whether or not one posts jpgs or not. Why do those that post jpg's need to rethink what they're doing? Would it be so that certain folks of a particular ideological bent don't have their beliefs shown up as the bullshit it is?

Kfc1's images are relevant to the thread, for they're specifically about feminist claims which he, I and others have already raised on a number of occasions. We have a rather large thread here that has explained many of the issues that the jpgs display, yet you want an explanation to be added to every individual jpg, despite being covered many a time already. They're not images that require further explanation given this. Some of the images contain the reason and are self-explanatory, except to the most ignorant, ideologically blinded and/or those who've been living in an igloo without access to modern technology since birth.

Unfortunately for you, your opinion on what is acceptable on this site, this board, and this thread, is largely irrelevant.

If you've reached the point where you've become so lazy and bored with the topic that you can't be bothered typing text anymore to re-highlight your stance for the 50,000th time, then you'd be better to not bother replying and just give up and acknowledge that the other person doesn't get it. There are plenty of threads on here, the boats thread for example, where any intelligent person just throws their hands up in the air and says "there are only so many times I can say the same thing. This dickhead doesn't get it".

I suppose at the end of the day it comes down to who is mature enough to give up first rather than trying to have the last say.

One, I didn't understand a word of what you posted but in relation to the photo...

The first thing I did was look at her face, then read the top line, then read the bottom line. Noticed that she was pretty and had nice breasts.
Are you saying that she should have covered them up so that any male is not enticed by her? Or if you want to be listened to make sure you are ugly?

All of these jpegs being utilised are completely within the scope of this thread, and far more on topic than cartwright, CM, Maggie and co. who keep going for the ad hominem/personal attack/dismissal route which gives us pages of back and forth banter of the most pointless nature.

1) No no.. I'm sure there are plenty of assertive women who hate the label of feminism. In fact I know many.

The label of feminist is self applied and doesn't come from being assertive as a woman. They decided to identify this way, and when their actions and words align to the area that feminists get critiqued for operating under, criticism will come. It's indiscriminate. I will argue men or women on the issue of feminism.

2) Both are prominent feminists who influenced millions of 3rd wavers. I don't think you can be genuine in your arguments if you pick and choose which feminists you think are important to feminism. They are all feminists of note who have ever been brought up in this thread.

Label them crackpots all you want! You not knowing them or giving them credence is irrelevant. They are either in the media, or in the feminist history. Or in current circles be they writers and philosophers, educators etc. All fair game to consider feminists and part of feminism.

I'm egalitarian. Straight down the line I believe in 2015 men and women are equal in opportunity. Now we deal with both sides of the isle on the merit of the problems. Males should get help where needed. Females should get help where needed.
