As a Crows fan, i was interested in the move by Watts 2 yrs back, was devistated when he broke his leg last year, and now i wanted to know, how is the kid going this year, how is his pre season going?

Nice of you to say that. There were plenty of karma posts at the time which was in poor taste.

I can't really answer your question though. If no-one else knows we'll bring this thread back and respond once training starts again.

I can't see Wattsy getting a game this year unless both of Gehrig and Hamill are unavailable. Brook showed in round 22 that he is ahead of Watts as a tall forward and now with Gardiner on board there's another experienced option ahead of him. Once Gehrig and Hamill retire he will probably take over a permanent key forward role.

I'd be extremely disappointed if Brooks is even considered for a key forward position ahead of Watts.

All Brooks has done is kicked goals in the VFL and against an extremely poor Brisbane Lions team.

He does give us the flexibility of playing both as a forward and back-up ruckman but I'd much rather Fergus is given a chance before him.

I actually am hoping that Fergus turns a leaf and goes in the backline? That will release Sam Fisher more (big fan of fisher - does not lose poise or his feet easily).
