Just thought that I'd bring this up. Fev's attitude and work rate has been quite good the last month or so. Pity the players around him make it difficult for him at times. Well done Fev, keep it up :thumbsu:.

I'll let you in on a little secret - there has never been an issue with Fev's attitude for about 3 years now. The issue is with the media and some footy supporters obsession with Fev. Fev has been outstanding for several years now. :)

Seriously the bad stuff brendan does gets magnified, if he farts it will be on front page of the herald sun.
He gave away 43 free kicks last year, and currently its 21.

True, but on the flipside you don't see Murph, Gibbs, Juddy having threads dedicated to their constant great attitude. We never have to worry about theirs

Nice silhouette MBIB :thumbsu:

He draws attention and a lot of opposition supports detest him. My brother said to me yesterday (he's a feral supporter) we should of traded him years ago...WTF.

I won't lie, I thought I was opening another anti-fev thread.

Good to see a pro-fev thread. I admire him, he cops more than any other footballer in the league and everything he does is magnified 100000000000%. I love when he plays his best footy, because all the doubters can not say anything.

So we pay him a few hundred thousand a year so we can praise something he should be doing no matter what as a professional athlete?

no no, he was paying the umpires far too much attention early on, made me think his concerntration was not where it should be. He's been doing everything right latly, it's great to see.

Certainly working hard
Seems troubled by that finger
I think something is wrong with his run up for a set shot
Plenty of time to win the Coleman but should not again become the focus for the team.

I recon he's too heavy and has spent too much time in the gym and not enough time on the track over the summer. Might have something to do with his kicking. His kicking lacks consistancy, he doesn't know where there going.
Good to see a level headed and better attitude though.

In the past you could tie your shoelaces or shoot off for a pie once he had the ball and was lining up. Nowadays I tend to watch closely and hold my breath - just don't have as much confidence in him, even the gimmies.

Indeed.

It is a sad indictment on Fevola that he should have to be praised for something which should be a given for any Carlton player.

Without acknowledging the good all we do is think of th bad.

I was about one more word from the flog behind me to knocking him out. Probably one of the first times a Carlton supporter has legitimately supported against us around me. Add that to his daughter smashig her flag on the back of my head fter every point, cheer or stoppage and you've got a recipe for disaster.

I don't understand the knocking on Fev at times. People yell and scream if his opponent has the ball forgetting the fact that it's modern day football and the opposition will often have the ball and the fact that we play a full ground zone for the kick outs. At one point this moron behind me yelled at Fev for tackling the opposition because it was the wrong option but then cheered when he got the holding the ball.

All I did was stand up and clap in his smutty face when Fevola kicked the goal. I hope this guy was no one on here!

Reminds me of the lady behind me who was absolutely getting into Murphy in the first quarter and calling him the most overrated player in the competition. Said he should grow his hair cause he ain't no Judd.

Needless to say the bad mouthing soon stopped as Murph played a brilliant game. More than enough targets for her (apparently Stevens is a fat mug) and her husband though, and who I presume was her son who wondered down at half time. At the least the daughter was reasonably quiet with her criticisms.

Reminds me of the fat prick next to me on Friday night who, after scoffing a bag of fairy floss (didn't even offer his wife any!), proceeded to spend the night yelling at 'fat boy Stevens' to get off the ground. Even during breaks in play. It was brilliant when he yelled 'do something fat boy' just before Stevens gathered the ball and drilled a pass down someone's throat. I politely asked him if that was enough for him.
