Out of those 14 points I think he hit the post 5 times in 2 weeks against the Dons and the Pies. Could have been 36.09 with a bit of luck, but nonetheless I am happy with that conversion rate. :thumbsu:

Does anyone else think that stats that show only goals scored and points scored are a faulty guage of a players "conversion" rate?
Shouldn't the stats also show balls kicked out on the full, shots that drop short, shots that roll over the boundary line. All it is currently is how many points or goals did he score. For a true and meaningful stat we need to know what happened every time the player had a shot for goal, not just every time he scored.

The "conversion rate" in football being a players goals and behinds is definitely flawed. Basketball is much more accurate in that you get number of shots made out of the number of attempted shots, but where would this statistic come from? Perhaps one of the stat collecting companies who take into account disposal effectiveness?

It might be something that needs to be instigated with statistic keepers. As you say the only extra stat they would need would be scoring shots (point, goal, miss)

Imagine what Matthew Richardsons "conversion rate" would be if they counted kicks out on the full?????

These are his totals for the year, not just his set shots
