We all know that fevola is a gun player. He is the difference in most of our matches. BUT, i was at the match on saturday and he just gave up whenever the ball went over him or he dropped the mark. He can also be selfish for example against the dogs in the wizard cup he tried to hav a shot from 6o metres twice when their wer many players in the 50 alone. I think if we are to make it anywhere near the finals he needs to play good against good opposition sides (not saying kangaroos are one) and he has to get rid of the selfishness and the body language. Because if he continues with the body language the young fwds like Eddie and Waite will give up to. As a leader he must never give up and that is what he dun against kangas and that is one of the reasons y we lost. C'mon Fev u can do better!!

Thanx

Fev has the ability to be a team player and I do believe that his pre season was very strong in an emotional toughness way. He was very focassed in his play and I found it hard to find any fault in his attitude.

In the North game I felt that he was putting in until he was taken off the ground. Prior to leaving the ground he was not a major influence but the delivery was atrocious, even from Kouta. This being said I dont believe he dropped his head until after he came back on the ground.

I believe that he needs to develop full faith in his self worth and not let things outside of himself to take away this belief. This includes being dragged or getting injuries or bad umpiring decisions or anything external.

Unfortunatly there are still a number of Carlton players who have enormous ability but suffer from victim mentality. Until they can continually perform under all sorts of environments we will not achieve the success that our ability warrants.

You cannot criticise Fev when you are being double teamed and the ball isnt being kicked in front of you. He had every right to be ********ty with the midfielders.

Just think of it this way, he had a bad day yet still kicked 3 goals.

It's not his fault we lost. Fev was triple-teamed at times and his delivery was woeful. There's not alot he could do. Whitnall taking a knock early and Waite lacking match fitness meant Fev didn't get alot of support in the forward line. Betts perhaps should have been brought on earlier. He was a revolation in that last quarter. Our only dangerous forward I thought.

Hopefully next week against the Bummers we'll have Fevola, Whitnall, Waite, Davies and Betts all fit and firing.

I am making an observation about Fev and still count him as one of my 2 favourite players at the club. [Kouta is my other one].

However pressure and circumstances is never an excuse to get ********ed off. You dont do the situation any good by giving in to the unfavourable circumstance.

If he is getting triple teamed and keeps contesting then it will open up avenues for his teamates. Also he was very concentrated prior to being dragged and was still putting up with triple teaming and poor delivery. Why be different just because you were dragged. If he believed that Denis shouldn't have dragged him he should have shown Denis the error of his ways by going 100% no matter what.

True leaders learn from pressure. This is what I am hoping Fev will do and become.

fev is very much a confidence player and if start to go his way he can be unstoppable but when things go the other way he drops the head. Its something you can see he has been working on and something Pagan IMO would not be content to continue which is good. Last thing you want in your team is a player like sooky sooky la la richo sullking and then yelling at his team mates.
