Hall of Famer
Hot off the presses!! I've decided to release FFGenie 2009 earlier than anticipated due to huge demand. It is released before the Round 3 changes, and also because of the earlier Thursday lockout will be useful to a lot of coaches. Beware that it could be quite buggy so bear with me.
I've only uploaded the Java WebStart version, in layman's terms, you can only run it off the web site at the moment at http://ffgenie.sf.net (Click on the big Run FFGenie link). It will only download the files once, and subsequently will only download if a new version is available.
Once you have it running, you'll need to download the data files from http://drop.io/ffgenie or you can use the update all function (but it's slow and downloads about 30mb). I know it's a pain to downloda the data files separately and I'm aiming to fix this in the next few weeks so that the data files are all centralised and you only have to click a button within the application to be up to date.
2009.1 Changes:
- Fully compatible with the 2009 versions of Dream Team, Super Coach and Yahoo comps
- Refinement of the price formula (should provide better BEs and price movements especially in earlier rounds)
- Enhancement of the User Team functions, including
* Batch loading of teams (from a file or text input)
* Ability to associate a position with each user team player.
* Storage of the amount of salary cap leftover
- Trade Wizard (available via the right click menu in the table). In conjunction with the User Team enhancements - assists in the construction of filters to inform which players you can afford.
And all the FFGenie features that you have come to love (or hate lol) over the years are still there - filtering, sorting etc.
I have to head out for a while, but please feel free to post questions (and answers if you know them!) here. Thanks and enjoy!
