why the hell drop meyer? he had a month of good VFL football to earn his spot in the side, got one game - a game where he had no chance at all to make a mark, due to the pathetic effort of more senior players - and he gets dropped!

meanwhile - Krak has onr good game in the VFL RESERVE's - a type of game we really should expect from him a few times a year in the AFL, and he walks back in

Poor form Wallet, dropping the kid after one effort, and to make it worse - in his home state, he finally had a chance to play in front of his friends and family, and you ****ing drop him

your a prick - and i won't blame Meyer when he walks at the end of the season, and ends up at port of the crows and most likely is coached into becoming a great footballer.:thumbsd:

i have seen a few coburg games and he is extremely lazy and disinterested.. at vfl level he can get away with it and still play ok.. but in the real stuff he has no hope with this type of mentality.. dont rate him at all... he can go back...:thumbsd:

Let Meyer walk.....he has shown NOTHING to warrant his selection.

Make him go back to the magoos and earn his spot.

he really does come across that way on the field.. he needs a rocket up his arse to get him going.. has pretty much shown nothing in 3 years... dont we have enough of this at the club already..

if thats all the case than we have pissed away another first rounder - our club deserves to be the crap it is then

personally - i thought spending a month in the best's for coburg would have warranted at least 2 games in the seniors (especially after last weeks effort by the ENTIRE side) and maybe a chance for him to play in front of his friends and family would have been a big motivation to get that finger out of his poo hole

honestly - i would prefer us to give meyer every chance to play AFL football, then King - as i think the possible rewards are so much higher , even if the odds on it happening are slightly lower

if the only thing he needs to do is be motivated (which is partially the leadership groups and coaching staffs job) to make it as a quality player - he is half way there

King needs a lot of improvement in his skills and decision making to it - and thats a lot harder to make than "being motivated to do it"

poor decision i think

Where'd you get the idea that Meyer had had a good month? He played one good game against Box Hill ... and even then I'd say Polo, Moore, Howat were better.

has be had a good month compared to the 22 blokes named this week - just as good

surely Weaver - SURELY - you can not honestly believe that playing the guy in one match - in THAT stinking excuse of a match - to expect a young player like him to be able to do anything memorable - give him 2-3 weeks straight and see if he has what it takes!

haven't we seen this happen enough?? isn't this exactly what we did to pettifer under frawley - that left everyone screaming that he has to be able to find his feet in the side ??

fiora also - who was always either on the bench or moving all of the ****ing place?? rodan also, being moved everywhere but the position he plays best?

a chance for him to play, in his home state, the week after last week - was the best chance we had of seeing what this kid could do - another week at coburg could have waiting considering where our team is at, at the moment

after a 157 point lose,

you cant expect us to keep all the youngsters in the side

it was gonna be either meyer or king

and kings showed more so hes playing, meyer isnt

its as simple as that

Richmond has made five changes to the team which was thrashed by Geelong last weekend. Greg Tivendale and Andrew Krakouer come in, along with youngsters Dean Polo, Cam Howat and Adam Pattison.
He replaces ruckman Troy Simmonds who is suffering an ankle injury.
Richard Tambling will also miss with a shoulder injury, while Danny Meyer, Daniel Jackson and Kelvin Moore have been omitted.
Pattison will has a big job ahead of him in the ruck. The Tigers’ opponents, Port Adelaide, have brought in Dean Brogan to work with last year’s All-Australian ruckman Brendan Lade.

Even in Meyer's good game for Coburg, it wasn't untill the end before he convinced me he had a good game. He hasn't had a month of great games, maybe 1 good game that wasn't excellent.

The fact he is being dropped goes to show that Terry wants to win.

Someone like Hyde or Tivendale are more likely to give us the win than Meyer.

He is an emergency so I suspect he will stay in Adelaide all week and play in our second game there. That way he essentially has a week at home to catch up with friends and family before going out to play in Round 8.

Shane Edwards is an emergency over someone else partly for the flight over too. At the start of the year I thought he would be an emergency for these games whether he was in good form or not.

Hey, the AFL pays for the trip, why not! I doubt he'll actually play so it's a good idea to stack the emergencies with young SA players (Riewoldt being the likely inclusion).

Jackson and Moore have been no good for a long time. Meyer im still undecided, but how oakley nicholls is still in there i dunno, he ended up in negative points last week because of dreadful skill errors (at least 90% of his possessions were clangers)

on the positive notes we do get polo back and him along with hughes foley and mcguane have shown a bit this year.

where is thursfield, did show some promise before his long term lay off, get him back we need defenders. and bring in jack riewoldt and kent kingsley

Agreed. Wallace has wimped out of his youth policy very quickly.

Wallace publicly stated that we did not have a youth policy and that is was actually just 'media spin'.

As for Meyer, I wonder what his reaction would be? He'd be pissed off and angry for the loss, then he gets dropped right before going to his home state.

I just hope he keeps in good spirits and earns a game against Adelaide next week. He just needs to do what he does at Coburg for Richmond and he'll play out the year.

I heard he had a poor start to BUrgers season and then got a batch of 2 good games going nothing such as a sustained month your talking of. Plus the kid showed nothing on sunday. What so ever. and the last thing on the mind of Terry would be watching Meyer run out with Mummy and Daddy and auntie Sue in the crowd in Adelaide not to mention his buddies from the class of 05

Wallace does not have a youth policy. He said he will play the best available player but if a youngster's form is on a par with a senior player he will play the youngster. Fair enough too, make the youngsters earn their spot and don't give them easy games just because they are young.

maybe a full game at Coburg is preferable to 30 minutes of senior footy.

He is listed as an emergency so for all we know he may be a late inclusion given that there must be some doubt over Schulz and Tuck and Johnson have been carrying injuries..

I have high hopes for Meyer but he is a finisher and we dont need finishers at the moment, we need producers...

Big test now for Danny. Are you good enough Danny or are you an imposter like so many other draft picks?
Will need to lift otherwise will be delisted at the end of the year.

why why why why krappouer. i suppose he will be right for another 12 months now. you are weak terry why not riewoldt and make the pathetic dud earn hios spot or is playing well in the second seconds good enough.
we all know this bloke should never be seen again but i suppose you need to see a player for 7 yrs before you make a judgement call on them. so much for replacing the underachievers you can go and get stuffed.

i've watched him in the vfl and i havent seen the month of good football ur talking about???
if he doesnt walk i wouldnt be surprised or care if he was told to leave

Shopping him to Port?

Terry dropped Krak(finally), I hardly think he's enamored with the guy anymore.
If he fails again ala P Bowden, he'll be dropped again.

I'd be very surprised to see Andy at Richmond in 12 months.
The trade will go through.

wallace saying someone else is using media spin?? BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA

classic Tezza
thats almost as funny as when miller came out and said terry has being "too honest" - LOL
so hows Browny travelling Terry??? will he play - and cogs knee:D

correct me if im wrong, but didn't we just tell gaspar he won't get a game because the younger players are playing equal to him, and that won't change even if he gets in the best for the VFL?

thats a youth policy - or it was:rolleyes:

tiva, gaspar, krak out

157points later

tiva , krak in!

the sound of thongs walk by......
(*flip*flop*flip*flop*)

no one did - why the hell would you expect a kid who has barely played four quarters of AFL to do it - thats my entire point

i may have been over the top on the month of good footy - but before the geelong game EVERYONE on here was asking for him to be included.

why? because we want to see what he can do when given a chance - last week was NOT a chance, it was a pathetic effort from the senior fella's and a mission impossible for a young bloke in his situation to prove much, especially being a finishing, type as he is

despite all that - he had more touches than Deledio, and no clangers - unlike JON and many others
