I was going to ask do people fully attempt to get 100% trophies? I've never done it on a game because I've never focused on it (usually only play sports games so there's a different goal), most of them hover around 40%. I do feel it'd be an accomplishment to clock the game though.
It's too time consuming and I always get stuck on something that's impossible because of CPU bullshit. Only game I ever got every achievement on was NBA 2K10.

Speed is also ****ed in FIFA 13 judging by the demo. Just my personal opinion. I've continued to see multiple examples of slow CB's staying with fast attackers.

It's not so much that I want to get all achievements/tropies, more about if I see something that is accomplishable, I'll go for it. Gives me something to aim for.

As a former trophy whore, yes.

I tried for FIFA 09's (the first FIFA to get trophies on PS3, well after it's release too) and I got to 68%, with my mate who was going for it getting the Platinum. At the end of the day I just couldn't be bothered going to the lengths he did to get the Platinum and basically got every achievable trophy without going to any weird lengths (he went onto a forum to set up matches specifically to trophy whore certain trophies).

Surprisingly without even trying for them FIFA 12 has been my most profitable FIFA game for trophies since 09.

Other games are significantly easier, sports games tend to be the hardest as they cover a heap of modes and often the online one's are a little on the stupid side to get done. Where as most games will focus on the offline only modes, making it a lot easier.

I slowed on going for them when I was going more from game to game just trying to get in and finish as many games as possible to get through my huge back catalogue of titles that piled up.

Okay first impressions of the game. it's a bit lethargic, not a massive fan of that. Pacey guys like Kuba / Ox not being able to outpace Lescott et al make it a little bit less realistic imo. But it does feel like you need more build-up / passing which is cool in a sense. First touch seems great and more realistic. Struggling with crosses - always seem too deep or the defenders are just OP in the box. Skill games - haven't tried them out but not sure I'd play that much of them pre-game. Loading times seem faster which is good. Just scored a belter from outside the box with Boateng but there's definitely less availability for flukey finesse / long shots. For a laugh I upped the User Sprint / Acceleration sliders to 100 and I have every defender playing like Marvell Wynne. Pato is like Usain Bolt. Awesome. :D

Yeah, I think they've undertuned the pace. Sure, build up place is nice but it's also realistic if a pacey winger can latch onto a loose ball and sprint ahead of a slow out of position CB. This happens in real football all the time especially on the counter after turnovers in the midfield, etc. Not really possible at the moment. A mix would be nice not just all build up play.

They probably did this because in UT people like to abuse pace a lot which hasn't taken a lot of skill. Dribbling and passing stats are going to be more valuable than pace unlike last year as it stands right now.

I think it's only impacting me because looking back on FIFA 12 I think I probably play as a pace abuser. I usually employ quick wingers to run down the flanks and then either cut back inside or whip in a cross.

Not really that easy now.

i had giovinco sprint away from hummels pretty easily earlier. it probably comes down to a mix of pace + control, how many players do you really see in real life burst away without first wrong footing a defender? if it's a ball over the top, a lot of the time, the good defenders will position themselves well, and a small touch and totally get rid of a players' momentum. imo guys like balotelli are going to be a premium, strong yet still has pace.

I honestly haven't noticed defenders that are meant to be slow catching up to my faster forwards.

Have noticed a significant amount of the opposite tbh, my defenders generally can't catch the faster guys and it can leave some wide crosses. And have definitely had Tevez and others burst well into space with a well timed pass.

I don't know if you guys are expecting players to just power past a defender when you're one on one, but that's generally not how it works in real life because the defenders are generally able to use their body better.

But I haven't noticed anything wrong with the speed of the game.

Of all the players in the demo, best for running onto through balls seems to be Mario... Seems to have enough pace to not be completely run down, yet doesn't get pushed off the ball easily. Then there is that lethal foot of his that cannons from just outside the box.

Haven't noticed it myself.

Walcott tends to sprint clear the rare times I manage to get him behind the defence. His finishing is terrible now though.

the game seems more realistic in professional (apart from defending, tat's shit in every difficulty), since trying world class and especially legendary it gets a dodgey at times, i think it may be the cpu trying to even out the game a bit?

i love this game so the good things are obvious, i'll nitpick and point out some flaws and things that are irritating me

- i'm yet to have one of my players completely outrun a defender, meanwhile walcott and gio can sprint past everyone from the halfway line as long as they're on the cpu team
- i like the first touch thing but i've noticed it's exaggerated, like the ball bouncing off random parts of the body from a normal long distance lobbed pass and some players simply just don't look at the ball and seem to get themselves tangled in a knot, would be ok if this was a rare thing.
- trick/finesse passing is awful, i'm sorry but players like nasri aren't ******ed, they can pull off these passes, they don't more often than not miss the target by 5 metres.
- cpu defenders doing tricks and running around attackers in a crowded box when trying to defend, ALL THE TIME. this doesn't happen, you make a clearance, not every defender thinks he is david luiz ffs.
- defenders not staying in their line and keeping players on the other side of the ground onside, been a huge problem for years now
- ai defenders not staying goal side of their opponent, thus giving them a free run up

Has anyone played against another person yet? I hate playing against the computer, they seem to just score whenever the **** they want

Cannot wait to play this online

Versed my Cousins.. very hard to get a break away with all speed's the same.

Played my mate. Dortmund vs Juve, pretty even match.

Figured out my way of scoring, can't manage until the second half, but run with a 3-5-2 formation, get to the second half after a big first half of just running around. Substitute Robinho onto the field. He breaks packs so easily.

I've noticed a few times on World Class/Legendary difficulty that when I've tried to get behind the defence their defenders will hold you back so you can't break forward. They use their arms to pull you back and stop your run.

3-5-2 was a ripper in 12 as well. very underrated and fun formation.
