Final Score flattered us

I think we were flattered with the final score last night as it was obvious that the Weagles took their foot off the pedal in the last quarter.They took Judd,Cousins and Kerr off and we scored our goals during that time.To our boys credit,they fought till the end,a quality we have shown many times.

Maybe they did maybe they didn't... but you only needed to look into woosha's box that he knew it nearly cost him when he did take them off.

Not making any excuses as the WCE's played really well. We were down 2 of our top tier guys with 2 young guys that were thrown in the deep end being Grundy and Vogels.

Yeh and Grundy playing a bit of time in defence on far superior players didnt help. its funny but I didnt realise exactlyhow much Leo Barry needs to stay in defense because Grundy just couldnt do it YET!. He had no pace and he wasnt strong enough at all.

grundy in defence. what a joke. Finally Big Bad is off, and it was a great opportunity for the Grundyman to shine up front where he belongs, so what do they do, stick him down back. for gods sake, what were they thinking! The score defineately did flatter what could have been very ugly. Having said that, it wasnt, so theres hope.

We were extremely lucky in the first quarter that West Coast didn't put their dominance on the scoreboard because our first quarter was pathetic.

I think the score was reflective of the intensity. Our guys were buggered because it's so hard to break your shackles. Glad we were able to hang on, although you're still my tip to meet the Cats in the GF.

The scoreboard most definitely flattered us - but I'll take it. At one point I was dreading a 60 point margin and the result that would have on our percentage. So it was pleasing to see them peg it back, though I don't think they were ever in danger of winning after conceding a couple of goals early in the final term.

No doubt the Eagles were the better team - absolutely smashed us in the midfield for two quarters and matched us for most of the final quarter.

12 points is a blowout, considering our recent history. But I thought we controlled the midfield and generally were the better side, you guys fought back which you always do but we did enough.

Love games against Sydney though.
