Well picked D_J^B_J

Simmonds' ruckwork was too predictable as the game wore on which allowed Sydney's midfield to shark his taps easily. We definitely could have done with some assistance from the Ogre.

But seriously, who would you have left out of the squad for him? Webster, T.Lo and Croad all did enough to hold their spot for next week IMO.

Big call but Simmonds.

But even if his ruck work is too predictable, once the ball is tapped down it should at least be a 50/50 contest. If Sydney's onball division have no problem reading the ball and clearing it from in close, then why can't our players??

I've seen that alot of the time our players seem to get sucked towards the ball and leave their opposition players on the outside of the contest ready to clear the ball after a quick handball our of the pack.

As soon as Ball went down early I would have taken Sandilands to just about any player. He makes other ruckmen jump that little bit higher, and with Goodes doing the ruckwork all day, he would have been knackered by halfway through the 3rd going up against the Ogre enough times. Then Simmonds comes on and dominates around the ground.

Regardless about what you say about the tap ruckmen , we were flogged at clearances again , nothing to do with the hit outs , its all about reading them !!!
