Do Geelong supporters think next season the Cats must make the 8 to have justify all of this faith in Bomber Thompson?
If they do not make the 8 again, I think Bomber should move on.

The excuses must stop EG. Youth, injury, another 3 year plan

It is time to put up or move on

Agreed.

Although, having said that, I do think Bomber has done a good job in building a team that could and should have success in the future.

Especially after the absolute mess our playing list was in at the end of the 1999 season when Gary Ayres left the club.

It's quite simple... deliver this season or go. But it would have to take a lot for Thompson to be given the goodbye by the GFC...

Cats will make 8 in 2004.

I like your confidence. But didn't we all think that this time last year?!

I think we'll get our act together this year and many of those less than 4 goal losses will turn into a few wins.

Here's hoping anyway!!!

Yep, and the year before that, and the year before that... actually come to think about it, I have that attitude before every year!!

COmes down to the forwards doing their job this year. Misters Kingsley, Mooney, Haynes and S.Johnson need to play well this year to get us up there.

I think that Johnson and Haynes will be the most consistent with Ablett and Chapman chipping in around the packs and crumbing.

Gettin the ball to them skillfully will be needed (hence why Clarke aint at Geelng now) and King back helps heaps.

finals

the finals are a must for all 16 teams ok 15 carlton exused
pencil in the interstaters for at least 5 spots leaving 2 or 3 for us vics to fight for.
we will be fighting it out with the likes of hawthorn, collingwood, essendon the saints and maybe the doggies and tiges.
to make the 8 next year would be a huge achievement imo
a lot will depend on
:s king
:injuries, especially the backline
:the emergence of attacking flair to our dour defensive midfeild style of play
:this will come about from confidence in our fwds who simply must work harder as a unit to provide options and give impetus to our midfeilders
I still think we are defecint an instinctive decision maker in the middle to provide leadership in the form of picking the right option and capitalising on our hard work.
there are to many variables in our team at present to say the finals are a must
we will hopefully be in the mix in 2004
to be honest im looking a year or so ahead
but ill going to as many games (afl and vfl)as possible
i think we are in for a good year but i dont want to get to carried away just yet

It's all good and well to say we will make the finals, but in all seriousness if we miss out we will be unleash a scathing assault on the club. If we make a marked improvement on this season and finish in or just outside of the eight, that justifies a fairly good turn around.

Another season like 2003 however, and that is worth its weight in abuse.

Of course we will make the finals. I have a bet with my friend that we will get in the Grand Final.

Apart form the club, does anyone know where we can send Kane Tenace fan mail so that he gets it personally?

C'MON THE MIGHTY CATS GET IT ON!!!!
