Fiora another Plapp

Saints are going to regret getting fiora i rate him like justin plapp,he had
few good games here and there but overall was exposed as a dud and
eventually ended up playing in the vfl for tassie.will they ever learn their
lesson.

I doubt in that St Kilda side he'd get any where near the 22.

he does'nt make it.

I reckon Fiora will not play anymore than 5-6 games next year , not good enough to get a game there .

Saints are just happy , as are Freo that they got anything at all . They were going to lose Black for nix , as Freo were going to lose Simmonds for nothing so a win for both clubs , we basically traded away Fiora to keep no.1 pick in PSD , a very good deal for us i reckon .

Plapp was a cult hero at tigerland (and still is down in tassie). Can't really say the same for Fiora.

Fiora will either take Heath Blacks spot or play on the wing. Will be interesting to see if Grant Thomas can coach him any better than Frawley.

i would say most likely they decided to offload one of tivendale or fiora. maybe no one wanted tivva, i would also have liked to see fiora get a year under wallace, but we needed to give up something of perceived value to make the deal with freo and st kilda.

Tiva will be on his last chance next year. He better pull his finger out. Has no right fut and goes missing when the pressure is on.

When he's on his game though he is one of the best wingmen/flankers in the league. He relies too much on the rest of the midfield firing though, when they are playing badly he is the first to go missing. The problem for him is that the midfield is unlikely to be significantly better (will be better, but still not good enough) so it will be hard again for him to star. Very good chance that he will be moved on at the end of next season. Would be a shame as he is one of my favourites, nothing better than seeing Tiv streaming through the middle, taking a couple of bounces and unloading a beautiful left foot goal from 55.

yeah this is what i think would have turned other clubs off him as trade bait.

Last year Tivendale also got found out when his opponents would drag him into defence he would get lost and found out quite often he'd have goals kicked on him. Maybe play him on a half-forward flank and tell him not to go past the center so he's either kicking for goal or putting it on the chest of a leading forward. Also shut out of the game to easily when he has a tagger put on him.

Or even give him some run with roles, he had some success doing the same thing back in 2001.

Fiora loves to wave his arms around while he's in space and receive the ball wide....
Doesn't like to man up...

Amount of times I've said in frustration... "That was Fiora's man that did that!"...
I also lost track of the amount of times he left his man to stupidly jump into packs, normally
hurting the run through of a fellow Richmond player.

Plapp did win his own ball at times......unlike Fiora.
When watching Plapp I always thought it was a shame he wasn't taller...
If my memory serves me right Plapp used to play from behind but had good hands...

Fiora's a receiver and may play alright for the Saints....

As long as someone kicks it to him!! lol
