it is the Tigers’ midfield that is the major problem with their three left-footers in Joel Bowden, Aaron Fiora and Greg Tivendale all going backwards as players at an alarming rate..

Saw this on AFl web-site .. disn't see the game - Is FIORA's development going backwards - If it is, I cringe every time i see PAVLICH whom we could have snared..

fiora is being played out of position why danny has at least put him on a wing is beyond me.thus his confidence like our side has hit rock botom.danny for christ sake give this kid a run in the middle.
cheers!

Until yesterday, I would have though Fiora's form had been quite good this year. Certainly to the level of a regular senior player.

All this year, Danny has had him as an attacking defender, running the ball out of half back. He has been one of the few players prepared to play on from a mark, using his pace to break the lines.

I do agree with Tiger of Old though. I think we are selling ourselves short having him as a defender - play him on the wing or on the ball and let him be damaging and attacking.

It was pointed out frequently by Garry Lyon that we were consistently failing to run the lines; giving Fiora the licence to attack and run would seem to be a most obvious improvement on this.

I think it was Tony Shaw that made a similar observation about where he could be most effective
