hey just reading board and seen this

mypersonal thoughts about fiora was the potental was always there and he had some pretty solid games with us but he had more inconsistant games then good ones in our colours...

when he joined with the saints like some of the other players we've taken in (eg jason gram) theyve entered the comp with a bit of hype around them then failed to fire... so if we pick it up its generally a low pick which could swing either way

same as king and c gardiner ... king was near the end of his career had not much to offer... but since coming to the saints has been sensational...

so in my opp with the entire thing its just a calculated risk.. if you can get a player who has whats needed to be up there but just isnt there at a low pick then they believe give them a run... because what type of quality kid can you get for a pick like 90+ in the psd

anyway ill finish my essay now =P and hope that answered any questions that you guys had on our thoughts

I've got no problem with the suggestion, but this isn't strictly accurate, is it? Fiora cost you Heath Black, a pretty handy player.

Jason Gram cost you pick 23 - pretty high, and one the Lions used to get Matthew Moody.

And other recent recycled players include Michael Gardiner for pick 43, Fergus Watts for 17, Luke Penny for 17, and Barry Brooks for 6 and 31.

Considering your usual good choices in drafts I'd say these trades are "miscalculated risks".

I never hated him. I hate arseholes, not shit footballers. I genuinely felt sorry for him most of the time, he never demonstrated at all that he was an arseh*le, just couldn't live up to his potential in a very demanding profession.

I'm trying to work out whether it's a credit to him that that he etched out 140 games or whether it's an indictment on Richmond and St Kilda for letting him get that many.

Thomas and Spud are now in the media, does that answer your question as to whether or not its to his credit? Lets just say this, another member of that group of past players who can thank their lucky stars that they have an AFL career on their CV because they played under duds for all of it.
I am convinced that the recruitment of Fiora was the final nail in the coffin for Thomas at the aints, not to mention Ackland and Rix as well. He knew what was required didnt he? Just like spud did. ;)

So credit to him that he bluffed his way through two clubs and played 140 more game than you or I ever did.
You knew I was having a sarcastic dig at the ineptness of it all though.

true, but in his twenties he now goes back to being a carpenter as his full time job. Of course he bluffed his way through two clubs, he began his career at the School Of Bluff, Tigerland, which has on its honour roll the chaff, tiv, pettifer and a statue in honour of its finest work, Ben Holland. ;)

add Nick Daffy to that list too please

Bye Fifi,
I loved watching you line up for goal after goal and missing goal after goal for the Saints.
Your cat-like skill at never minding a player and cat-like heart made you the best double-agent the RFC has ever sent to another club.
Sorely missed.
Whahahahahahahahahahahahaha

Would anyone have an idea of Avrils career earnings ?
