(January 2002, Croatia) A Croatian was killed while trying to open a hand grenade with a chainsaw. He wanted to retrieve the explosive to make firecrackers for the New Year’s holiday.

Most offensive grenades have a TNT filler, but the frags use Composition B. Tricky stuff for making firecrackers.
At any rate, unscrew cap, remove igniter and fuse, use heavy guage rubber-coated wire to scrape out explosive - enjoy.
Anyone who would use a chainsaw to cut open a grenade is dumb enough to cut off his own genatalia. So, this was probably the best thing for him.
