Fish to return against Saints

Fish and Hampson the two massive ins for us. More of a contest in the ruck and absolute desperation in both inclusions. I think the dynamic of the side will change greatly.

Incidentally Fisher is a far better mark than Fev. Fev has got the yips with his hands and feet at the moment.

Star forward Brad Fisher will play against St Kilda next Saturday night at Telstra Dome, as will last year's highly prized No1 national draft pick Matthew Kreuzer and his young ruck partner Shaun Hampson, who all didn't play against the Tigers.

Even better! Hampson & Kreuz in as well :D :D :D

Is it Safe to say if Fish and Hammer played against Richmond, we would have won ???

Good news to hear the return of Fish, esp against a fairly weak St.Kilda defence, which means we can keep Waite down back to mind Riewoldlt again ..

It would have made a big difference. Setanta would have gone to Richo. Fisher would have provided a badly needed extra target. We would still have had underdone on-ballers though, so who knows? I would have like to have seen Armfield on Foley's hammer all night.

Greg Denham wrote that?

I think I'll wait to selection night. ;)

I'm sorry guys, we all desperately want Fisher back, but I have to agree with this comment. I read everything Denham wrote during trade week last week and he is terrible. You cannot trust a word he says. Wait until selection, Denham is hopeless IMO.

Fisher said a few weeks ago that he'll be having the pin taken out on the 20th, and he'll be right for the week after

No it wouldn't because that would be extremely discrediting Richmond and their great win.

As much as I hated to lose that game, just give them the credit they deserve and move on. It's not about Round 1 anymore, it's rounds 2,3,4,5....22

I HATE it when other teams supporters do it to us to discredit our win, so we shouldn't do it back.

Anyway, onto the topic, Fisher will be a massive inclusion, I think he is very underrated even by Carlton supporters. I personally rate him higher than Waite. He should give us an option and the three pronged attack of him, Fev and Edwards with Eddie roving looks a lot better.

Hampson also will provide a contest at the least with some taps to the advantage to give our midfield a better crack.

Look forward to it.

Good call. Or Pfieffer. Either one of thee guys would have been handy, judging on their performances today.

Fisher said a few weeks ago that he'll be having the pin taken out on the 20th, and he'll be right for the week after

I will elaborate on this post.

At a training session that NWTYRX went to, he was on the fence while Fisher and someone one were riding the bikes on the boundary line, and my brother heard Fisher tell the other player (who escapes me at the moment) that the pin would be out on the 20th, and that he would play the week after the pin came out.

Considering the 20th was the night we played Richmond, given that we don't play St. Kilda until the 28th, that gives Fisher 8 days to rest up.

I'd take Fisher's own word over that of a newspaper

As Jason K said in his post , that would be a huge discredit to dickmonds win , I don't think it would've mattered that much as they where playing on a real high the other night , lets see how long they can keep it up . With some of the other injured players back in and the big guns match fit , I'd suggest it could've been a different outcome though . But I guess the cubs could also say they had players out too !

Ask Richard Pratt:p.
:thumbsu:
LOL... Matthew "Freddy Krueger" got to love him
:thumbsu: maybe the boys should nickname him freddy

ah, some good news for a change. thats what i like to see. three big inclusions, even if one hasn't played a game and the other only a couple, Fish is the big one. he will love judd hitting him lace out in front of his eyes.

Don't think i can recall a mark Fisher has taken without jumping into or over a contest of sorts.
