Does anyone else in here take these?

At the moment, I'm using Vital Strength Hydroxylean and Redback Venom, and they are simply unbelievable. Heaps of energy, great recovery, and burning all those beers off like a madman. Can't believe I've only just discovered them...

What else do you recommend?
 
Hydroxycut has worked friggen brilliantly for me.

Some people dont like it - but it definitely works for me. I got accused of being on roids after 5-6 weeks. lol

I tried to buy the US version online at heaps of stores, but none came to the party. So I bought the Aussie one, in full knowledge it wasnt half as good as the other stuff, but i thought Id give it a go.

From memory the Aussie version is Ephedrine free, which makes a bit of a difference on its effectiveness.

That said, any product containing Ephedrine is banned from being imported. Obviously I've no idea how your getting your hands on the US version ;)

A Baseballer in the US (not sure if it was major league or not) died from taking Xenadrine, a similar product to Hydroxycut. Naturally, this baseballer was very clever and decided to take more than the recommended dosage. Goes to show you can't be too careful.

Where do you get this kinda stuff from? Is it damaging to you in anyway? Any illegal subtances usually in 'em?

They can damage your liver - worse than the beer that made you fat to begin with. If you have high blood pressure or a heart problem, the complications can be far worse than continuing to sit on your couch drinking beers.

If you stop taking the stuff, the effect wears off and you balloon up again.

Losing fat is remarkably simple as always. Burn more fuel than you are taking in.

Don't squawk off with the excuses about having a slow metabolism, hormone/endocrine/pituitary imbalance either. There were no fat bastards in nazi concentration camps.

It's the eating and drinking. It always is.

And for those trying to be smart, psuedoephedrine is not like ephedrine, as the name suggests.

I'm not trying to lose fat per se, rather gain muscle. So, use the same theory?

I'm no expert so anyone out there can correct me if I'm wrong. Most protein supplements are useless if you get an adequate amount of protein in your diet already. Creatine is naturally found in muscles, it is what supplies the energy for your muscles to contract, taking creatine allows your muscles to recover quicker from weights session but if you don't take advantage of this by doing extra weights sessions then you won't get any results from taking it.

Bottom line is unless you plan to do serious weights sessions more than 4 times a week then these supplements will do nothing. Take them if they keep you motivated and you'll probably rave about them 6-8 weeks down the track when you start to see muscle gains but you'll only be giving the credit to a clever marketing person, who's laughing all the way to the bank for selling them to you, rather than to yourself for putting the hard work in.
 
yeah the Australian version of hydroxycut isn't too bad even though it's watered down compared to the US version. Smokin ur gonna have a tough time getting Hydroxycut through customs, especially after 9/11 anything illegal is going to be destroyed and you'll lose your money.

Protein powders are effective especially if you're bulking, i try for 170-200 grams of protein a day, and shakes help me reach that target.
A good multi-vitamin once a day is effective as well ;)
 
What kind of high protein foods would you guys suggest as opposed to using the powdered shiznit?

They aren't that different, it's just Ephedrine raises your metabolic rate more (which is the point for fat burning), whereas psuedo is more likely to merely clear your sinuses.

Both do raise your metabolic rate.

Just started going to the gym, they worked out a program for me for 3 months...I use pretty much all the low weights at the moment and hopefully then will build up.
I take some supplement, after a week and a half I don't think I've gained any weight tho....how long will it all take, or will it be when i start lifting heavier weights in 11 weeks time?

Without a doubt the best protein source that is cheap is tuna!
Other things like cottage cheese, eggs are also a good cheap source.
Meat as well, might want to get a lean sort, milk is another. I'd definately have tuna and eggs at the top of the list.
