Fitzgerald & Schell

I am in Perth and we got no TV coverage. I have followed the game on the net but missed seeing the game.

I am interested to know how Fitzgerald and Schell played? Did they play full games? How did they look?

The amount of footy Fitzgerald has missed over the last three years I think the more footy he plays the beter he will get. As long as he doesn't fall over - again. Fingers crossed as he has ability.

They Played Well

How ya going? Yeah fitzy ans Schell playde well and both kicked two goals each and both pulled up ok and will be ready for next week We were chatting with Fitzy after the game and he is pretty cool very freindly

They both presented themselves well, both kicked 2/2 apiece, both couldve kicked 4 goals apiece!!

Fitzy shanked both of his behinds to the left and needs a bit of Darren Jarman tuition to right what seems to be a minor goalkicking flaw.

I was reasonably happy with thier first real game for the club.

They both have strong grabs too and will pose problems for oppo defenders.

To compliment them ) I thought our small front and centre crumbers were missing when the ball came in but that could be testament to the way the ball came in with some good quick movement at times.

Out of 10....? I'd give em both 6

This was mentioned on the "fumbles" thread - how it seems we have a tall forward line and GA is getting sick of the press about it. I guess as the season progresses we will find out more aboout this structure.

Perhaps Johncock could be groomed as a crumber.

Thanks Maccas & TopJars,
it is strange how we have lacked a tall forward like these blokes who can take a grab and now seem to lack the crumbing forward/opportunist goalsneak like Jars or Vardy.

Appreciate your views on how both played. I thnk that both will only get better, and Beinke will always provide a contest and is a goer. He and Welsh have had to play "bigger" that their stature because of our lack of talls - I think that now we also may see some better footy from both of them as they are not our main focus up forward.
