Looked like he got slammed to the ground fairly heavily in the first half and spent quite a bit of time on the bench. Came back pretty well in the second half. Roberts Walls kept getting stuck into him for trying to kick long goals, but last week they came off and it motivated us to a win. I think he just didn't seem fully fit for most of the night and wasn't getting the same penetration in his kicks.
 
walls also said "selwood has been moved onto brown now" that was after browns had 20 touches and kicked his 3rd on selwood

he said richo was "quiet" in the 2nd quarter when the ball didnt go near our forward 50

huddo should be shot!

walls should be beaten!

Channel 10s saturday nights are fastly catching Channel 7s sunday coverage for worst coverage in the history of the planet or universe ever

If your name is Selwood you are pretty safe from getting any criticism from any commentators, despite getting your arse kicked in the manner Selwood did tonight by both Brown and Lids.

he also said they might not be able to stop judd running through the centre - the useless, old, Village people-bearded ****.

his continual picking of tambling pissed me right off - no wonder tambo has so much pressure on him with a silly olf **** like walls bagging every possesion he has that might not hit the center of the target

Quartermain is by far the worst of all commentators. So dull and one sided all night. Seriously listen to NFL and American commentary in general compared with the sh1t we get served. It's pathetic.

My 8 year old daughter said McGuane must have got confused and thought you had to bounce it every 5 metres. :D

foley has one bad game, possibly due to a heavy knock early in the game and the commentators absolutely cannablize him, he's suddenly a player after personal glory even with his superb setting up skills inside the 50. he drilled it long to the goalsquare twice, we had richo and nathan brown running back towards there, you'd be an idiot not to - but no he's just going for goal.

yeah Quartermain is a dud. My missus says to me, 'why does he keep calling that Eagles player the designated kicker? Is that the only thing he can come up with to describe him?'

Let me just say i was LMFAO for about 10 minutes after that!!! She ain't even a footy person but she said these commentators are just pathetic! And she asked me why were they bagging Tambling all night and Foley at the end and why was everything an Eagles player did seemingly a piece of unbelievable brilliance. Even the uninformed can pick up on these duds:rolleyes:

would help if one of his mates gave him a decent target....in the end he was forced to blaze to the hotspot and there still wasn't anyone there.

Apologies for the intrusion guys.

I was at the game last night and kept a close eye on Foley, after all I've heard & read about him I was keen to see his work for myself...and yes it seems that he had a fairly quiet one, he had our no.1 tagger on him for most of the game (having the premiers tagging a kid from the soon-to-be spooners is quite a compliment for him) so I'd like to think that contributed somewhat, but overall I was pretty impressed with his poise and decision making when he got the ball. It is also very noticeable that the Tigers look to put the ball in his hands, much like the Eagles look to Judd/Kerr/Cousins to carry & distribute the ball, which shows that he's already the Tigers' go-to guy :thumbsu:

It will be interesting to see if he can continue his development and become one of the game's elite midfielders in the years to come.
